We stayed at this hotel mainly because our son was at the school next door and it was convenient and surprisingly cheap for a better than expected hotel, rooms are well equipped and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was well set up and all in all was great for our purpose would definitely recommend for one or a couple of nights stay.

Had a very pleasant stay here, even though it was pouring with rain for three of the four days.

Family of 5, booked as 3 adults, 2 children, staff looked after us very well. Room was a Family Suite with 3 single beds in one room and a king in the other room, plenty of space for all of us. More time than normal was spent in the room due to the rain and no conflicts were encountered - thankyou free wifi.

Breakfast was great, decent variety and children were well catered for.

Grounds were very picturesque, even in mid summer and horrible misty nagging constant rain.

Staff were great, could not do enough to ensure our stay was more than pleasant, especially with the rain. Advice about Leura, where to eat, go sightseeing and things to do was very helpful and very knowledgable.

Only downside, apart from the rain, would be that it is more of a hotel/motel than a resort, other than that would highly recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: If booking a family, ask for a family suite with balcony - separate bedroom for Mum and Dad is alway...

I see that the Waldorf Leura is again hosting a Yulefest dinner and show with local actors performing a Faulty Tales show based on Fawlty Towers and Basil Fawlty.
This will be a repeat performance of last year. I attended with a group of friends and whilst the show was quite good the yulefest meal left a lot to be desired. The price for this year is $95 for adults and $55 for children. Similar to last year and then the meal was very mediocre and disappointing. Perhaps the Waldorft management were living up to the Basil Fawlty theme.
As I mentioned the show was quite funny but the meal very forgettable. At $95 this is very over priced and as was our experience, not value for money. My advice ... go to a good restaurant as there are plenty in the mountains.

Pros
Quiet location
Pleasant staff
Well equipped rooms
Organised and efficiently managed

Cons
Rooms are older style (early 90s/late 80s ? ) and need refurbishment. They're tired looking.
It's not a resort it's a motel. Go to the Fairmont if you want a resort. I was expecting resort style facilities.....so was disappointed. No bar. No restaurant. No cafe. No ambience. Pool was freezing. Gardens needed attention. Seriously, it's a motel, not a resort.

I stayed there with my daughter, sister in law, and her 2 children. We went during the school holidays in Autumn. We stayed in the Family suite where there was enough room for everyone. The bathroom and bedrooms were great and very clean. We spent time wandering in the ABSOLULTY BEAUITFUL gardens. The pond, the flowers, the beautifully cut lawn, the hidden footpaths, and quaint little sitting areas, also an outdoor giant chess board game plus a cubby house for the kids.. The gardens were perfect for a picnic lunch. It was very quiet and peaceful. We loved it. Leura town centre was a 5 minute drive away. The golf course was across the street. Breakfast was included which was great value. The kids had fun in the table tennis room & pool table area. There was a pool area which would be great for summer months.I would definately go again. The family suite had 2 big plasma TVs in the room with a DVD player for which you could borrow free movies from reception, this was very handy to have with kids.

Room Tip: A ground floor room for those with young children close to the garden area.

We only stayed overnight at this resort. It was a great stopover on the way home from Jenolan Caves to explore the Blue Mountains. Location was good, close to attractions, bushwalking tracks & restaurants. The staff were very nice and friendly, rooms extremely clean & the breakfast had plenty to offer. The only thing we could be critical of would be the bathroom. While the room overall was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was on the small side and very dated. It was extremely clean but if you were an older person or had physical issues, you would struggle to climb into the tub to take a shower. It could certainly do with an update.

Stayed one night breaking up a longer trip. Comfortable room, friendly staff. Situated away from Leura village, closer to Sublime Point. You need to drive to the village, so those who prefer to be closer to the action should choose closer to town. Not outstanding but no complaints.

Room Tip: Choose garden view room with balcony.
