“Nice food but high prices for the area”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

This restaurant is located next to Quest, and there is very limited parking unless you go into their carpark underground. Don't mix it up with next door's parking or you will be locked in. I found out the hard way. However, that's not their fault.
The food was good, but fairly high priced for something in the suburbs-I guess its pitched for corporate travellers who dont mind paying ? $4 for one oyster. Mains are around $35 but what really jacks the price up is that you cannot BYO because they are fully licensed. And its $10-$12 per standard drink if you want a glass or two of wine.
I thought the service was fine, but its true that this restaurant does tend to operate more as if they were an upmarket place down in the city or at the Quay- there is nothing about the corporate end of North Ryde to attract people to the area.

“Overpriced and located in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed 23 June 2013

Had to go here for work function. Location is terrible yet prices are like waterfront restaurant. Staff have slightly arrogant attitude at times. Why bother really. Only reason you would go is that there are so few choices nearby. Dive a bit further to eastwood instead or epping maybe. No good italian restaurants in the area it seems

“Would not eat there again!”
Reviewed 21 June 2013

I went with 6 people for lunch. I tried to tell the management about our experience but they were not interested so i will tell tripadvisor!
Just after we ordered a bread and dip platter that we had not ordered was put on our table. We were chatting and luckily for the real owners of the plate did not touch the plate because after several minutes the waitress came and took the platter away saying it was not for us and proceeded to put it on the table adjacent to us!!!!
5 of the 6 of us ordered entrees... 2 came then 1 then 1. we asked for the last one and were assured it was on its way. The others started eating, we asked again, they continued eating, we asked again, they finished so we called the Maitre D' over to cancel and just then the entree arrived.
One of our group had eaten entree with his main cutlery. He was at the bathroom when the waitress came to clear, She picked up his clean entree cutlery and put that on his plate and put the used (but main course) cutlery back at the table setting... we asked her what she was doing and her response was "he used the wrong cutlery for entree"!!! And left the used cutlery there!
Another waiter was helping clear the table. He had obviously been taught to take the used cutlery and stack it on the single plate in your left hand then stack the plates on a pile on your left arm - but no one had told him not to take cutlery from a plate where there is still lots of tomato sauce over the customer to his stacking plate! Luckily on this occasion nothing spilt on our friend.
We were not drinking wine so after entree they came and collected our wine glass... and placed them on a table in the middle of the room so staff could use them for other tables... only problem was I had been playing with my wine glass while we were waiting for the last entree and had assumed they were going straight into the dishwasher! They did not.
Then the mains... we all ordered at the same time and the restaurant was not full so you would expect them all to come together... not so... 2 then a few minutes to another 1, then a wait for the next 2 then as the first 2 were finishing up my main arrived.
The food was ok, not great. The maitre d' was full of apologies but overall not a pleasant dining experience.
