This little seaside town has a lot of charm and physical beauty. Majestic rock headlands, beautiful beaches and bays and it is steeped in history - the Gaol is a must see. Sunset from the rocks at Horseshoe bay is a must.
The hotel has everything, in-house bottle-shop (I'd use it rather than the one in town, the service there is what I'd call country, without the charm), restaurant (good value pub and bistro type fare - great seafood) and is central to everything town has to offer.
The markets are held on the second Saturday of each month, and are absolutely fantastic, a bit of everything, second hand, new, new-age and handcrafts - its a great little market.
The rooms are comfortable, basic yet with everything you need, the balcony rooms are great and worth it, even though you don't get a direct view of the ocean, you certainly can see the ocean in the background with majestic Norfolk Island pines framing the deep blue pacific ocean.
Live music, coffee in the morning, several areas of the hotel, a good selection of tap and bottled beers, wines, kid friendly - well worth the $120 price tag.
WIFI is free throughout the complex, parking is in a private car park, and its less than a minutes walk to get wet in the sea!
I'd stay there again, and recommend it to firends.
