“Good Value, great destination.”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

This little seaside town has a lot of charm and physical beauty. Majestic rock headlands, beautiful beaches and bays and it is steeped in history - the Gaol is a must see. Sunset from the rocks at Horseshoe bay is a must.

The hotel has everything, in-house bottle-shop (I'd use it rather than the one in town, the service there is what I'd call country, without the charm), restaurant (good value pub and bistro type fare - great seafood) and is central to everything town has to offer.

The markets are held on the second Saturday of each month, and are absolutely fantastic, a bit of everything, second hand, new, new-age and handcrafts - its a great little market.

The rooms are comfortable, basic yet with everything you need, the balcony rooms are great and worth it, even though you don't get a direct view of the ocean, you certainly can see the ocean in the background with majestic Norfolk Island pines framing the deep blue pacific ocean.

Live music, coffee in the morning, several areas of the hotel, a good selection of tap and bottled beers, wines, kid friendly - well worth the $120 price tag.

WIFI is free throughout the complex, parking is in a private car park, and its less than a minutes walk to get wet in the sea!

I'd stay there again, and recommend it to firends.

Room Tip: Get a balcony room with an odd number ;)

Stayed there last March, on arrival we had to ask the cleaner for another chair as they only
had one in the room I think they expected us to use the bed as a seat. The shower was
something else who ever designed it evidently never used it ,talk about water water
everywhere had to use a towel to mop up .Decided to eat in the pub ,bad mistake,
my wife ordered a baked dinner when it came out it was stone cold she sent it back and the
replacement was just a tad better, Ihad a seafood platter and it was difficult to distinguish
between the batter and what was inside.when we got home I sent an email to the
manager on what happened but I never heard back it seems he doesnt care to much.
We will not be going there again in a hurry I would not recommend it to any one

We stopped off here on the way back to Sydney from the Far North Coast. The Sea Breeze is in a great location facing the beach. The pub itself is huge and has a very good bistro food. Our room was ready for a make-over but clean and a reasonable size. The welcome was friendly.

There's not much to choose from in a south West Rocks and we ended up here thinking it looked lively enough but it was noisy, ordinary and just plain pub food. Not rushing back here. It's a shame that for such a beautiful location that some one hasn't made this hotel a bit more up market.

I went here recently with my family for dinner. Good pub food. My husband ordered fish and chips which he had seen someone else eating the day before - traditional battered fish and chips. When his arrived it wasn't the same thing at all so he asked why. Turned out it was a special that day and the traditional battered fish and chips wasn't available. They replaced his meal with something else of his choice and also gave him a beer. Excellent service and something they didn't have to do at all !
Highly recommend this pub !

Went here for dinner on a trip away and it was honestly the best service I've ever recieved. My partner was on crutches and one of the staff brought him a pillow for his foot whuch had to be elevated.
I forgot to order gravy with my partners steak and went and asked and they got it for him immediately and at no extra cost.
