1. friendly receiption 2. reasonably priced room with unforgettable waterfall like shower 3. mean breakfast included

Room tip: even a ground floor room was fine

I found this motel to be very clean, handy to restaurants and the main street. The gentleman at reception was very helpful.
Breakfast was included in the tariff.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Harbour Royal Motel.

Having seen some previous reviews and knowing how little we'd paid, our expectations of the Harbour were not high. But we were wrong. The room was spacious, comfortable and well kept. Our balcony had a view out to the bay. The people were very friendly and helpful (they even gave us a push start when our battery was flat the next morning). And it's all only 2 minutes walk from restaurants and bars. The breakfast was nothing to write home about (basic drinks, cereals and toast), but at the price it would be churlish to complain.

Room tip: Get an upstairs room with a balcony for optimum views.

Wifi was not available in the rooms at the front of the motel. Manager was not helpful.
Dining area to small, I got sour milk, but got no apology, coffee machine packed up, handle fell off the toaster, at least rooms were clean. stay somewhere else.

Friends treated us to a couple of days away when we visited them in Sydney, the advertised WiFi did not work in the room had to go outside round the corner to get a signal. The breakfast nook is a joke as it only seats 16 people and the hotel has 20 plus rooms. Disappointed.

Room tip: Don't use rooms 18 up
