“Not suited to large families”

You would think a 3 bedroom apartment would be designed to accommodate 6 people comfortably but Centrepoint apartments falls short of this. The layout is too small to use the dining table and the lounge furnishings were sparse. The room needed a major overhaul the appliances are old and the beds sagging and uncomfortable. If our stay was any longer than 3 nights we would have moved elsewhere. Very disappointing.

My partner and I decided to have a night in Caloundra as the weather was lovely. It was difficult finding a hotel that was reasonably price as it was school holidays. We eventually found one at Centrepoint in Caloundra. The room was a three-bedder however it was clean and on the 6th floor with a great ocean view. We sat out on the balcony and after a few wines, we watched the sun disappear over the mountains. It was a pleasant stay with really nice service from staff.

Just stayed for a few days with a group. Suited our needs perfectly, just frustrating with kitchen oven and some appliances not in good working order. It is well priced and it would have been great to have air conditioning.

Room Tip: Try to have a room not near when the garbage truck comes at 5am every morning ... unless you like to...

This was the second short break we'd had at Centrepoint this year. We had tried to find another place either at Caloundra or in the Maroochydore area just for a change of scenery, but an extensive Internet search couldn't uncover any other 1 bedroom apartments with comparable views, location and price, so we re-booked. The reception staff are always great when making a phone booking and take into account your requests. All the one bedroom units offer partial town centre and full water views and it's very relaxing to sit on the patio and look over the shipping channel, Bribie Island and parts of Golden Beach. The decor within the apartments is a bit dated and negotiating your car into the underground carpark space is not easy, but the great location (easy walk to both the waterfront and the main shopping precinct) means we'll be back.

Very happy with these appartments. Rented a 2 bedroom and was given appartment on 6th floor with ocean views - and what a view !!! The appartment was very spacious, with plenty of room for a family, with balcony with table on both bedrooms, each with own bathroom, and dining area with lovely views. We could stroll to the boardwalk and also to the shopping area, and dining establishments - even had two downstairs, so no problems if raining.
All in all, we were very happy and intend to return.
Only downside was the noisy council buses, which seemed to be old and very noisy...the last/first route seemed to take them in street below.

Room Tip: ask for rooms high up with ocean view

Stayed 2 nights. Not sure of their rating. The window said 4 star, the receptionist said 3.5 and checking on Wotif later, it said self rated. Excellent views from the apartment. Quite dated interior and no air-conditioning. Comfortable bed and the room was clean. Carpark is a minefield. Finding where to put your key and dodge the pillars means there was a lot of bumper scuff marks on the columns. Reception was a a bit off-hand and looked like she just wanted to go home. The position in town was good though and the views were excellent.

Room Tip: Don't go in summer, the rooms are suffocatingly hot. Don't bring the Mercedes.
