“Great price and everything we needed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights, and got it at a great price. Sure it's not the most modern place to stay, but it's great if you just want a convenient place to sleep, cook, watch TV etc. Very understanding owner for our late check-in and late check-out.
Comes with a garage, cooking equipment, even ice and icepacks in the freezer! If you want modern, go somewhere else and spend more money. If you want basics that you actually need and it won't break the bank, come here. I will definitely be back again.

Our apartment was very cheaply furnished and had minor issues such as poor lighting, broken tiles and dirty fans and cleaning equipment. Sheets were clean but too small for the beds and the second bedroom had no table, lamp or shelf. However the price via wotif was reasonable and the position was excellent.

The Apartment that I stayed in was not modern, but it was quite generous with all the bits and pieces all the little things such as kitchen utensils, glasses, cups, milk shake making machine, dish washing liquid, Laundry Powder, board games and Street Directory’s, that you may need on a holiday stay. This apartment was just that a home away from home, Because the age of the apartments i think this is a bargain family of 5+ style apartment with 2 bedrooms , bathroom/laundry, separate toilet, open living area with LCD TV, Balcony with a view, Garage, shared BBQ, swimming pool. It is close to the Tavern and close to the Park, Kings Beach, Surf lifesaving club, Caloundra coastal pathway, 3 mins walk to the closest Bus stop on Saltair st or Edmund Street, but it’s quite some distance from major grocery shopping and other restaurants you will need a car. Again on my walk around Kings Beach i saw some block of apartments being sold which told me new developments are coming, this area is probably one of the final areas to be Modernised (knock down rebuild) hence become million dollar apartments, this is what makes Beachside court holiday apartments(BCHA) fair dinkum. Back to the Apartments not all was positive the sound proofing ceilings could be wearing out as I could hear the thumps and tapping from the above apartment, and the firewall between the apartments may be weak as i could hear the next door neighbours, and the noises from the outside staircase. The bath/shower may be awkward, the toilet was looking a bit worn out, Privacy is a bit of a problem allot of the windows had views of other apartment windows including the bathroom (which had frosted windows). There is also the fridge which hummed and could be heard in the bedroom and the night lights entering from different windows of the apartment even thru the closed venetian blinds. but otherwise a bargain of a stay BCHA may not be there in its current form in the future but its well worth the stay at BCHA whilst it still affordable.

We stayed in one of the apartments for one night only but were overall very happy! The facility seems to be family operated and everyone was very helpful. The rooms are individually owned! The room we had was ok and had all you needed. Everything was clean but rather basic and a bit old. No A/C but this varies from room to room. Depending on the individual room owner I assume that other rooms may look completely different! There is a rather small pool on site but you don't really need it as there is a public beachside pool about 5 minutes walk away. The fabulous beach is close and clean and there are free electric BBQ points there. We had dinner and breakfast at the "Naked Turtle" on the beachfront and were very happy with food and prices there as well. There is also a pub right next to the hotel as well as the liquor mart for those seeking a cold beer...
The town and several shops and beaches are within walking distance. The hotel charges about 12Aus$ for the baby bed but not for the baby to stay in the room.
Overall we definatly recommend this place for people seeking budget accomodation. We booked through wotif.com.au and had no troubles.
