“Nice place to meet”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

This place does have really good food but on the pricey side. The atmosphere is nice and is a great plce to meet for a coffee.

“Good coffee, simple tasty food”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

Lovely little cafe in Gympie, very friendly staff, good coffee and simple food prepared with an Italian sensibility and fresh local ingredients. Best place to stop between the Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay.

“A gem in Gympie”
Reviewed 9 July 2013

Lovely spot to sit and have coffee and cake or something from the lunch menu. The proscuitto and avocado bruschetta is just divine, and so is the Italian hot chocolate! Service is friendly and efficient. If you go to Gympie then go there!

Great little cafe for Gympie. Coffee good and the lunches decent. Nice vibe and something a little trendy in Gympie.

“Perfection itself!”
Reviewed 11 June 2013

We have been fans of Giovanni and Jodi since they started Emilia's some years ago now. Gympie is so lucky to have a cafe of such quality, yes it is expensive compared to the others but it is original and the quality is second to none. I have never seen these cakes anywhere else nor will I as they are all recipes from Giovanni's Mother, Emilia. If the cakes are creations, then the paninis and main course dishes are works of art, I often take photos on my phone and Facebook them just to show my foodie friends what Gympie has to offer.

The cafe itself is just beautiful and if you are after any obscure cooking ingredient you can often find it sitting on a shelf in there for sale (chestnut puree for an English Christmas recipe). Giovanni is charm himself and when I am in the hairdressers next door for hours having highlights he will bring in my lunch for me (don't tell my husband!) which makes me feel very special!

A fabulous, fabulous place and I have eaten in some wonderful cafes around the world. Oh yes and Jodi (Mrs Giovanni) is the only thin chef I trust!
