“Great week away...Fantastic spot to stay!”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

We had 7 nights at The Pennisular Beachfront Resort we found it extremely clean, comfortable, friendly & it was the perfect location. It is right across from the beach & it right in middle of all the great eating places so it easy to get some great food. The supermarket it near by, bakery newsagents & there is lots of shopping along the Esplanade.
The apartments are spacious( we had 6 adults & 2 12 week old twins) with great views of the ocean it was lovely to hear the ocean every night. The pool, gym, spa & tennis court were also a big plus, there is also a sauna.
We recommend staying here & we will be returning.
Terri & Tim

Room Tip: Ask for one facing the ocean..magic views!

As this was a late booking, we were given an apartment on the lowest floor - therefore we suffered noise & cooking smells! Apart from that the accommodation was very good - 2 bedrooms & bathrooms sitting room & kitchen & really huge deck. Not much of a sea view owing to the lack of height but still a nice view.Sink & 1 shower blocked on arrival but soon fixed. Pool is very small, & while relaxing on a sun bed there you need to put up with cooking smells!

Room Tip: Reserve a high floor!

We stayed 7 nights this January (2014) after having also stayed here 5 years previously. Will definitely be back again. The apartments are clean and well looked after. the staff are fabulous and a special mention to the reception staff who are a wealth of information on the local eateries etc. (tip: if you like Thai food; try the place on The River Esplanade just a short stroll from the Peninsula...not much to look at, but the food is awesome!) The reception staff are always friendly and happy to help. If you are from interstate and don't want to carry body boards etc...don't worry just borrow them from reception. Same with tennis gear if you fancy a swing on the tennis court. But this place is really about views and location...The Peninsula has these both covered in spades. It may not be quite as 'flash' as some of the newer establishments on the strip, but it wins out by being right in front of the patrolled area of the beach. We found this especially helpful with two young kids. You just walk across the road and dive in. The pool area is very nice and relaxing with good, well maintained BBQ facilities. For location, views, service and facilities, the Peninsula is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: We were in a lower level room and view was still good!

we spent 2 nights and the location was perfect for getting somewhere to eat and getting to the beach. Our room was clean and spacious, and our view (3rd floor) was great. Next time I might try for higher up. The pool was refreshing for an early morning dip, and all in all we loved our stay. Next time we will stay longer.

Room Tip: try higher floor for more water views

The location is perfect, but thats where it stops. We were there for a weekend away and booked a 3 bedroom apartment for a group of six. The booking was done incorrectly and we ended up with 2 x 3 bedroom apartments which is what we had not asked for. We ended up fixing that mess up only to find the apartment very grubby. Windows still had handprints all over them, same as the full length mirrors. There were only 4 towels for 6 guests and 1 roll of toilet paper with no spares anywhere. I found the staff unhelpful and aloof. I left after the first night and went home. Sorry to say that none of us will be back...

Room Tip: If booking ask for one of the refurbished rooms as they may be better value?

Great location and awesome apartments and service. Great view to the sea and able to watch whales out at sea. Restaurants great and close. Great tours . Best pizza just down stairs and close to surf club. Go down to the boat club and rent a boat to go around canals.

Location is suberb. Step right out the front and into restaurants and cafes, it's across from 'the loo with a view' and childrens playground on the esplanade.

We took the only available room left which was a one bedroom apartment for $260, a bit steep I thought.

The apartment was nice, kitchen lounge and bathroom all great, but I have to say I didn't like the bedroom looking like an ordinary old style bedroom you'd find at grandmas.

When I'm paying dollars to be away from home, I want the bedroom to not look like home at all, or at least have it looking like a bedroom from a magazine.

Spruce it up, modernize it a bit, lose the old fashioned quilt and grandmas wornout blanket, put some good puffy pillows on there, ditch the oldfashioned lamps. And have to say I don't like a full length mirror running alongside the length of the bed!

We had an apartment on the side of the building so we did have ocean views which were lovely.
The apartment was clean.

A big puller to me of these places is the spa so I was disappointed it wasn't working. Something in it had been broken so 99% of the air came out one hole like an erupting volcano and the rest of the jets didn't even cause a ripple. The timer lasted about 60seconds :/

Undercover parking was free. The desk staff were nice.

Room Tip: The ocean views are beautiful and well worth paying more for, lovely sipping a drink on the patio ov...
