Had and absolutely amazing trip, the dolphins seem to be attracted to Andrew, they come from everywhere to see him we seen at least 35 dolphins today on our tour, was a truly spiritual experience, we were also lucky enough to see wedge tailed eagles as well as the rare white bellied sea eagles and New Zealand fur seals too, I highly recommend this tour company, they are the real deal, there are others on the Island trying to do the same thing, these guys are the originals and are totally the best

A very nice guide who gives explanation on all animals you see on your way to the doplphin bay. And that is only where it begins. The dolphins come so close to the boat, that they can be touched. An amazing experience. There is enough time to really enjoy the time with the dolphins and take plenty of photos. An absolute Higlight at the end was to be town with a rope alongside to boat - swimming with dolphins never felt better!

Thanks Andrew for a great tour and snorkel. After much negotiate about suitable times we headed out from Kingscote. First swim was with a friendly seal lion, then up the coast to dolphin pods. We also traveled up to a beautiful beach and watch seal lions. We were a party of 6 adults , joined with 2 young german tourists. We had varying degree of skills and confidence but Andrew ensured we all had a great time. I just wish the oyster dealers at American River had been as obliging!

This trip is about so much more than dolphins. I loved speeding around the KI coast and getting an idea of how diverse the land is. It was a perfect way to end my week on KI and David our tour guide was amazing. A fourth generation KIslander who did a great job looking after us. Jumping into the water and experiencing the dolphins on their own terms was very special. I felt very privileged to trail along beside the pod and watch them, it was a real life Attenborough experience! I only wish I'd brought some flippers along! If ever I head back to KI I would definitely jump aboard again. Thanks very much KI Marine Tours.

Myself and my partner paid for this tour hoping to swim with dolphins. We spent the first hour and a half crawling along the coast line, where nothing really happened. The information and sights of the surrounding land and coastal wildlife were interesting, but lackluster.
When we eventually headed towards where we were told the dolphins would be, we encountered two pods which was great, however this created a massive anti climax. Arriving at the cove known as the 'dolphins lounge room', we started to get ready to jump in the water. However, 5 minutes later the dolphins were no where to be seen.
Of course we understand there is an element of risk to this sort of activity, as to whether or not the dolphins were going to play ball, but I believe the risk should be taken by the company profiting from this activity, not the customer. We felt that paying $190 each just to sit on a boat for 3 hours only seeing 15-20 minutes worth of dolphins (when actually we had paid to swim with dolphins) just wasn't worth it, and we were left out of pocket and disappointed.

We called up the office hoping to secure some sort of compensation for our day of not very much, however this brought to the surface a series of new setbacks and disappointments. We had been over charged by $110. Now this wasn't a huge issue - mistakes happen - but what really was unprofessional was the fact that the money was only refunded after numerous calls to check whether the payment had been processed. Eventually, 9 days after our tour (7 working days), our money was refunded along with $25 compensation each... Not good enough.

My advice - pass on this company and go with a cheaper one.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your tour with us . on the day you toured with us it appears the dolphins were not in there usual interactive mode , having said that they did come into the boat to visit but then decided to venture off into deeper water sometime after with the aid of a friendly australian sea lion , from all accounts other passengers onboard that day enjoyed there encounter with wild dolphins & the sea lion. there are no guarantees when it comes to interactions with wild animals in the wild and in there natural environment but what i will say is that we offer a full refund if no dolphins are en counted throughout your tour ... or you jump on the next tour free of charge , we did offer you this option as you may recall but circumstances didn't allow you to take up the offer (leaving the next day) as our success rate is very high in terms of our dolphin sightings and interactions we have only had to call on this policy once in many years of operation , the clients came out again the following day to enjoy one of the best experiences we have had on water also on that particular day you may have noticed several baby dolphin (calves) in the vicinity , we have had an extraordinary season for young dolphins born in our area , this is great news for us but it also puts the mother dolphins and the pod on high alert at times after some further investigations with clients and the skipper on the day , it looks like there were in a non interactive mode , in this industry the dolphins call all the shots , if we do not adhere to these guidelines and sighs our success rate with wild dolphins would not be where it is today , in reply to you over charged , you are correct in saying when things are busy sometimes mistakes happen & moving office at the same time did not help the situation our merchant facility auto settles every 3-4-5 days so in terms of a refund this can indeed take a few days as it appears to be the case with your refund ..... if you are ever on the island again , i would be happy to personally take you and your partner (foc) on a swim with wild dolphins to show you just how magical this experience can be and why we have been voted the best dolphin experience in australia ........
