This business is in an assuming building on the road leading out of Kingscote. It would be easy to drive past it without realising that it's such a gem.
When you walk in, there is a large showroom containing a wide variety of fascinating goods. Naturally, most of them are honey-related.
Just near the entrance is a tasting bar where you can sample several of the different types of honey they offer.
Apparently, the original source of the bees for this business come from Liguria in Italy. In order to protect the purity of the local honey, it's illegal to bring honey products into Kangaroo Island.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted warmly by a young lady who organised to take us on an informative tour of the honey-making facilities in the rear of the showroom.
We were very glad we stopped here. It was a memorable experience. It is well worth visiting.
