“A hideaway unlike any other.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014

The truth is, I'm reluctant to share this extraordinary place. The proprietors are most welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate. It could not be more comfortable, quiet and relaxing.
Waking to the sound of the sea, taking an invigorating walk, watching a perfect sunset in an environment designed so that each guest has complete privacy allows one to fully experience a renewal of spirit here.
Yes, thank you Nick and Arabella...

Had the most amazing time at Bicheno Hideaway last weekend, absolutely perfect. The location....peace and quite....made it feel like we had entered another world...the word 'hideaway' simply doesn't do it justice. The owners Nick and Arabella were lovely and made us feel right at home with a tour of an incredible vegie garden, giving us fresh eggs from their chooks for brekkie along with fresh herbs and cherries from the garden.
The perfect romantic get away....with the chalet providing everything you needed....perfect location with ocean right at your doorstep.
Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Room Tip: Chalet number 3 perfect secluded location

I recently held my first Yoga Experience Day at the Bicheno Hideaway. The location was absolutely perfect for a day of yoga classes, silent walks and harp playing on the nearby beach. The owners Nick and Arabella were fantastic and very helpful supplying me with extra crockery and cutlery. They helped me move most of the lounge furniture out and allowed me to transform the living area. Arabella bought fresh flowers to brighten up the room Nothing seemed too much and our privacy was respected..
Thanks guys.

Room Tip: Bring candles as the Boathouse has a lovely woodfire.

Nicholas G, Owner at Bicheno Hideaway, responded to this review, 24 November 2013
Bicheno Hideaway is three star actually. Our tariffs reflect that rating. In peak season, we charge $155 a night for a couple. A four star resort in Bicheno ranges in price from $250 a night to $400.
That the reviewer can get our star rating so staggeringly wrong makes the rest of his comments rather redundant. I greeted this guest several times on the property during his two day stay. As he was availing himself to free DVDs and asking me to direct him to the beach, not once did he voice his concerns. I would have done everything within my power to address his issues and more than happily booked him and his wife into a four star resort of his choice. Most baffling of all is that when his wife left she said 'thank you, it's been lovely'.

We had a couple of days at Hideaway in Chalet 3 on our honeymoon. The accommodation was basic but lovely with a huge window to enjoy the natural surrounds while feeling private and peaceful. The stove is very basic but the BBQ was fine. We loved sitting on the verandah and on the beach just out the front and along the beachfront. We Found good food and places to potter around nearby and would happily return. A special spot to enjoy nature and to be left alone to enjoy it

Room Tip: chalet 3 is the most private

Set just a few meters off the rocky Bicheno coastline the Boathouse was an exceptionally comfortable, clean and very well appointed hideaway for our quiet weekend away. The low key style of the hosts was just right, they provided excellent facilities and attention without ever invading our privacy. We had internet if we needed it, a player for our music, excellently appointed kitchen including an espresso machine, spotless bathroom facilities and a very cosy king size bed, all of which we enjoyed very much. The lovely coastal flora in the grounds provided perfect privacy and separation from other guests. We could very easily live there. Highly recommended.

Sat on the rocks and quaffed a good few bottles of Tassies finest, well done great spot. Will try and get back there one day.
