“Could do more”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

Great board walk through the canopies, able to see (and hear) lots of koalas, mostly sleeping. There is an education centre but the kids didn't want to stand and read. I think more information about the koalas as you walk through would be good, and also the kids could have some kind of quiz sheet that they can fill in as they walk around. Although the focus of this centre is koala conservation more could be done here.

“Nice walk”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

We went first week November. Though the koala were not that near, we were able to spot quite a few, and in fact the children had fun competing who spots the most! But what I really enjoyed was the comfortable shady walk in the centre. The eucalyptus trees were tall enough to give lots of shade, and it was quite picturesque as a whole. Though I wouldn't give it a five, I did enjoy my walk through the centre, looking at the sleepy koalas, simply breathing in the fresh air too. It was cold but not freezing. Overall very pleasant. since the last reviewer mentioned about Moonlit Sanctuary, I actually rate this walk better than moonlit, and more koalas for sure. Moonlit comes across rather sparse in vegetation and tree cover, so it was pretty sunny and less comfortable. I don't remember it for koalas, more for kangaroos. If you don't care for koalas, go for the walk and take some nice pictures if the extra cost is not an issue.

For real koalas, try Kenneth River, which is near Great OCean Road. The koalas there are wild, and don't have to pay.:-).

“fun, but koala's can be tough to spot”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

We went here on a rainy day. At first it was hard to find any koala's. But, since it was mating season we soon got to hear and then see a male koala try to entice a nice lady into an afternoon tryst. it turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. This is a place to stop and hang out for a while. Watch the trees, study the koala's. it was very peaceful and so cool!
