Greasy chicken and the worst chips you will ever tast in your lifetime. Lorne is not well blest with good take away options and only average restaurants. Give this place a miss and have a BBQ or try the bakery.

For 1piece of a small fried chicken & chips and 1flake & chips we paid $27!Fried chicken was oily and the meat was plain, some of the chips were burnt, I guess they could charge these prices as there isn't another take away shop like theirs on the main street. There are alot at least 50 items of food items to choose from, too many & too confusing. Staff are friendly and took care with outdoor table cleanliness.

After motorcycling through bad weather to reach Lorne enroute to Apollo Bay, we were relieved to find something open at about 5pm. It was a little early for dinner and we thought the variety at Andrew's Chicken Joint would offer a much-welcomed snack. The prices were quite a shock - 1 piece Flake & Chips $11.90, salad extra $4; House Special Wrap $13.50 (comprised pita bread, BBQ chicken & salad); 6 Calamari $8.70. Soft drink was equably overpriced, no 600ml bottles available, only 450ml that we were slugged $4 apiece for. Our "snack" set us back a costly $31.80. At those prices we expected gourmet dishes but we were to be severely disappointed. We ordered the Flake & Chips - the fish was horribly oily and the chips so-so. Ugh! The one good thing I can say about he place is that it has a beautiful location directly opposite Lorne Beach.

After arriving from Melbourne around 5.30pm we thought a pizza would go down well.
After taking our order we went to pay.
We were surprised to find they do not take EFTPOS cash cards.

So it was off to the Hotel by the Pier View Apartments for our evening meal.
They took our card and and our money, and in return we had a nice meal, but not at Andrew's place
