We loved Lorne Beach and went for a long walk on the sands and listened to the Cockateels sqwaking nearby.

Was a bit of blustery day but we stopped at this town as there was a huge flock of Cockateel's (these are a big deal in the UK) on the park green. The beach is beautiful and the town pretty with lots of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants. Must be lovely on a sunny day.

Nice for walks along the beach in the cooler months. Short trip down stairs to beach, there is a car park and wheelchair access to the park.
Lifesaving club so in summer, beach is patrolled.

When you travel from Melbourne to Port Campbell you will come across Lorne town it is a small town by the side of the beach. You find the beach and birds around here.

Such a beautiful drive and a really nice spot. Kids loved playing on the beach and there were deck chairs scattered along the top ot the beach to sit in. We walked the peir it was lovely. Shops are a little expensive but it was ok. Lots of cockatoos flying round everywhere.
