An excellent modern apartment with a great kitchen and comfortable beds close to the centre of town. The WiFi signal was a bit dodgy but the apartment was of a very high quality and the integrated garage was very handy.

We rented 7 units whilst our daughter was being married at the Victoria Hotel adjacent to these apartments( which are independently owned and operated) . This set up, with a combination of one and two bedroom apartments was fantastic for our needs, allowing our family and the bridal party plenty of space to get ready. The apartments are very well appointed and comfortable.. except the beds are hard as mentioned in other reviews. Being able to come and go from the reception only 40m away was brilliant and made for easy set up and clean up. I would highly recommend a wedding using this format
However the one bedroom apartments are pretty small, except for 1A (it is larger as it is on the end). The one bedrooms are very noisy and if people above have a cooler or heater on all night people below can hear it loudly as the unit is right outside their windows.
If returning I would only ever stay in a two bed upstairs.
Another point... carports are great but very hard to get in to especially with a large 4WD. We had to leave our car on the street.
Overall we had a great stay, Staff are fabulous and obliging.

Room Tip: Apartments 1a and 1b are the biggest. Always book a 2br

Stayed in a one bedroom downstairs apartment. Whilst it was during the time of the Folk Festival, the price was still outrageous for what you got. The rooms were small, noise from unit above unacceptable, daily housekeeping incomplete, security not 100%.
Positives were: close to main action, lock up garage, free wi-fi, no road noise (back apartment). Would not stay again at the price.

Room Tip: Rear rooms at left of entry would be the quietest.

Wish I had read up on tripadvisor before I booked this place. $200+ for a pokey little "one bedroom" apartment. Looked great on website, photos taken with 170 degree lens. Pro : Lockup Garage, Cons: everything else. Could not believe it when I got a phone call at 7pm from the manager asking me if my bathroom light was on, and to switch it off. Apparently it creates a deafening racket for the upstairs tenant. While I showered in the dark, we then spent the rest of the night listening to upstairs use their toilet, have a shower, use the washing machine, walk around and talk. Floorboards made of paper. I think I heard them breathing at one point, but didn't sink so low as to call the manager and have them spoken to for such riotous behaviour. I'm sure the spacious 2 bedroom upstairs is nice if you don't have a noisy downstairs person who dares to turn on their bathroom light, but do not get the 1 bedroom apartment... period.

Room Tip: I would find a different apartment complex where the floors are concrete, not cheap pine. If you are...

We've just gotten home from a 4 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment - am sad to leave such a lovely place. Great kitchen and lounge area. Bedrooms were a great size, very handy to have washing machine and dryer as well. We were there with our 2 year old and the apartment was pretty child safe. There was a child safety gate in the laundry, we used it to block off access to the staircase.
Would definitely love to stay there again. Port Fairy's a terrific place for a family holiday.

Well equipped and handily located units made for a pleasant stay.
Port Fairy is a nice place - not overwhelmed with attractions - but very pleasant.

If I was staying again I would pay the extra for a 2 bedroom unit so that you are upstairs instead of downstairs.
Downstairs is at the mercy of upstairs - the ceiling must be made of thin pine because every noise and footstep carries very clearly. Ok during the day but a nuisance at night if upstairs are up late.
Beds need a comforter or similar to stop them being so hard.

Room Tip: Go upstairs!

Stayed 2 nights on the way back from Adelaide, the one bedroom apartment was just a touch too cozy having a "squashed" feel. The bathroom was very nice and a good size, although the basin/fawcett choice was poor in my opinion, the outdoor area was tiny with 2 air conditioner units blasting hot air at you making it pretty useless. I would have much preferred a TV in the bedroom, or simply one big room as the air conditioner did a fantastic job in the lounge/kitchen but pretty hopeless into the bedroom unless you had it "arctic" in the lounge. The noise from the unit above was quite disconcerting, not just the travel up and down the stairs but also that from the bed immediately above us! As my wife said, at least it was over with quickly!
