We stayed in a 2 bdrm upstairs apartment with secure parking which we got a great deal for online. Close enough to Warrnambool for the Kids4Fun festival but far enough away to feel like it was a true get away not just for the kids. Port Fairy is as gorgeous as I remember with doable walks that cover a marina, national parklands and beachfronts. The service was very friendly with great advice on the best pub to eat at on a windy Sunday night (Caledonian Inn), child friendly, band not too land, lively atmosphere and good food; The kids loved the lolli shop in town only a 5 min walk away. A huge tip - buy bottled water from the IGA around the corner as the local water is utterly revolting! We were lucky and only had people staying on the bottom level for 1 of our 3 night stay as yes you can hear them. TV in the kids room meant a lie in for us and was a novelty they enjoyed. The apartments were a great use of the space with generous living areas and a balcony that would have been lovely if the weather wasn't so windy. Missed a second bathroom but we coped.
The beautiful GOR is an easy hour + 1/2 or so drive away through gorgeous farmlands and if you come straight down the Princess Hwy from/to Geelong and turn off at/to Colac you avoid the most tortious part of the winding roads without missing the awesome view of the Apostles, London Bridge, Arch etc. Lovely cheese factory at Timboon to enjoy and grab a few things for a picnic at Port Campbell.
All up a great area for a family getaway.

Room Tip: Upstairs might be the lesser evil despite the stairs with a lovely huge balcony

Stayed at the Drill Hall. Three bedrooms with queen beds and a twin bed room, large hall and kitchen and a little backyard with a gate to park the car. All renovated. Lovely accommodation. Only negative is it has only one bath/toilet and very sloooow internet. Excellent sleep quality. Hall has a heater, other rooms electric blanket. Check in was a breeze. Across the road is the Caledonian (Stump) that is open till 8 pm. Good food but seemed a bit pricey for its location. Surprisingly the apartment had very many TV channels, something we missed all through our GOR trip :) a very efficient and friendly front office. Glad we stayed here. We parked on the street.

We stayed for just one night, family of 5, July. We had a 1 BR apartment downstairs for parents and the 3 kids upstairs in a 2 BR apartment. The living area was very spacious, proper dining table and open plan living. Combined kitchen and laundry area worked well and was well equiped. Easily could have spent a week here very comfortably. Staff were very helpful to sort out an issue. Port fairy is a really lovely town to stay in.

My husband and I stayed here for just one night at the end of our trip of the GOR. We had already booked when we saw reviews that had stated if you were on a ground floor you could hear all noises from above so we were a little apprehensive.

We checked into our room which was 5A and on the ground floor.

As per previous reviews, we did hear noise from the people upstairs, mainly walking around due to the squeaky floorboards.

The noise is the only negative but as we were only there for one night we weren't too concerned.

Everything else was great - it was clean, friendly staff at check in and check out, the accommodation was a good size, particularly the bedroom, and it was in a good location.

We would definitely go back we would just pay for a top floor room to solve the noise issue.

Port Fairy was great, such a lovely town. Coffin Sally is definitely a must visit if you are looking for great pizzas and cocktails in a good atmosphere.

We enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Apartments very much. After being checked in with a family with a loud child the staff asked us if we would like to switch apartments - we were very grateful to say the least!

The 2 bedroom apartment was well appointed and clean and the location of the apartments was excellent and very convenient.

Thank you for a lovely stay!

This apartment met all our expectations & provided excellent value for $ (especially as we had used a discount voucher). The bed was a little firm for our liking but the unit was warm & cosy & well equipped so it didn't detract too much. Sadly there are no views from the balcony but the units are well within walking distance of the main part of the township & a good choice of cafes, pubs & restaurants which is a bonus.

Room Tip: Choose a 2 BR upstairs unit at the back for peace & quiet
