For a family gathering of eight, coming from 'down the road', interstate and overseas, we wanted somewhere simple and intimate, where we could enjoy a long, lazy lunch and catch up in a relaxed atmosphere. Trip Advisor reviews of Sicilian Orange suggested it would fit the bill and it was indeed the perfect choice! We were the only guests for most of our Sunday lunch and it was like being in a family dining room. The service was lovely - friendly and helpful; our waiter suggested a 'set menu' for a family-style shared meal, with antipasti followed by amazing gnocchi (the best I've tasted) in a tomato and basil sauce, as well as a delicious fettuccine with sugo bianco (my favourite). We also had some fritto misto and some roast pork, as well as desserts and coffee. The value wasn't too bad (though close to the limit of 'good'). The wine list is not big but there are some decent quality numbers on there - we enjoyed sharing a couple of bottles of an Italian sangiovese. Wine prices are somewhere in the mid-range.
All in all, I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for authentic Italian food, well prepared and highly satisfying, with nice service and atmosphere.
