This fish and chip shop now has Greek proprietors and its shows.
The mother, father and son team all know how to properly cook fish and chips.
It's a long way removed from going to McDonalds or KFC.
If you want authentic fish and chips in Melbourne (not to mention delicious melt-in-the-mouth scallops - and by that I mean Victorian 'fish' scallops, not NSW 'potato scallops' or potato gems as we call them in the southern state of Victoria), then this is one of the places in inner Melbourne to go.
Thankfully, it's not the only place that serves good fish'n'chips, but it is a good example of why we prefer Greeks to be in charge of this type of take-away food.
There are several tables inside and al fresco along High Street.
