“Couldn't wait to leave”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2013

The location was quiet, but out of the way a little. You need a car as Williamstown is about 4-5kms away. They advertise a resort bus, but when we wanted to be dropped of at Williamstown the staff on duty told us they didn't have a driver license.
The worst bit was that we stayed 4 nights and couldnot sleep at night because the heating on the air conditioner didn't work (nights were cold)and kept making loud noises switching on and off. It was either not working and cold, or over hot and wouldn't turn down or off. The fact that we couldn't sleep because of the air conditioning unit problems made the stay very uncomfortable.I was exhausted and tired when I left.
The apartments are boring, no picture frames just bland walls of nothing.
There is little security with the apartments as sliding doors don't lock.

Room Tip: Ask if the air conditioner works

Its hard when traveling alone and you get a massive two storied unit with tables, chairs, sofa, big screen TV - a full kitchen and laundry and dryer (and complete with soap powder!!!)
Frankly this accommodation is overkill for me but the location suited me well..
Downstairs was quite nice - Ground floor toilet in laundry - work table with dedicated modem for the room ($10 a day I recall) Large lounge with opening to grass. A little bland with no art on the walls but well set up.... Upstairs... good master bedroom and TV with en-suite and excellent bed... second bedroom with two singles and another bathroom with bath.
Excellent staff who are most welcoming.

As a warning to others - GARMIN GPS's send you further down Kororoit Creek Road where there are homes and you cannot see signage for Quest... back track and the hotel is the opposite sea side of the road... I arrived in the dark on a cold and nasty night and the young lady at reception guided me in... thanks Quest Team...

Dear Jeff M,

Thank you for your kind comments regarding your recent stay at Quest Williamstown North. I am so glad you found the apartments comfortable, and well equipped. Your feedback regarding our staff, has been passed on with the utmost pride, as we place a main focus on customer service, and ensuring the guest experience is one to remember.

I agree that the signage off the road is quite difficult to see, especially on a cold and stormy night. As mentioned before, we are undergoing a property upgrade, and will soon have all signage replaced, resolving this issue.

We look forward to accommodating you during your next stay in the West.

Regards,

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for one night. The rooms were big and the beds really comfortable. The air conditioning vent was a bit noisy at night but a great respite from the Melbourne heatwave. The pool was great for the kids too. The staff were really helpful and polite.
What we didn't expect was to feel like we'd completely escaped Melbourne - we could have been on the coast, the view was amazing from our balcony. Rarely any traffic noise - just birds, native plants and the ocean beyond.

Room Tip: We stayed in apartment 4. Had young families on both sides and didn't hear anything . Water vi...

My 3 children and I stayed here for 2 nights in a two bedroom apartment. Downstairs was a lounge/dining area and kitchen. The kitchen was a good size with lots of bench space. It was a little bit dated but fine. There was also a toilet and laundry downstairs. The two bedrooms upstairs had comfortable beds. One had a King with ensuite, the other had two singles. The best thing about the apartment was the beautiful view. It felt like you were in the country, not in Melbourne. You have a view out to the bay and over a lake with a wide variety of birds. We stayed in room 4 (rooms 1 to 5 would have the same view).
The kids loved the swimming pool and spa. Towels were brought over to us. There was also a nice BBQ area which we didn't use.
My brother lives nearby and we would stay here again

Room Tip: Rooms 1 to 5 have a great view. Rooms 48 to 62 would also have a lovely view of the sunset

I stayed at this Quest apartment 2 nights and it is located in a very quiet area. It is nicely landscaped with walking trails around a flora & fauna reserve and views to Port Phillip Bay. The apartment I had was a large 1 bedroom disabled (not requested) so had a big bathroom and shower with handrails. While very clean and nicely furnished, there is some general maintenance needed with paintwork. Kitchen well equipped with microwave, cooktop & oven, electric kettle & toaster, and full size refrigerator with freezer section but be aware there was no milk in fridge although a few tea bags & coffee sachets on bench. This particular apartment (34A) gets afternoon sun on lounge area and bedroom making the bedroom quite warm. The lounge area has a very effective air conditioner, but bedroom has nothing - even a ceiling fan would help. Bed very comfortable but pillows hard, take your own if possible. Outdoor grassed area also has a pool. I thought it was expensive at $405 for two nights. The entrance off Kororoit Creek Road is easy to miss with trees obscuring the sign until you are right at the drive in.

Our family of 5 stayed 5 nights to be near relatives in western suburbs of Melbourne over Xmas. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. We will stay again if we require accomodation in the area. The grounds are pleasant with native planting and an interesting outlook over grasslands to the bay, we enjoyed the access to walking tracks. There are very strong winds due to location on edge of bay. We had a disturbed night when unusually strong winds rattled (closed) windows all night. The pool (15m x 5m) was appreciated. The staff were helpful and friendly with tourism info and fixing issues promptly. The 5th trundle bed was missing on our 9.30pm arrival (reception closed) but we phoned the manager and he arranged delivery (a staff member came from home) and we received a discount.

I have stayed here on two separate occasions and would definitely recommend it, however a do have a couple of complaints.
On my second stay, even though we turned up after check in time (3:30pm), the room was still not ready and had to wait for it to be cleaned.
When we were finally able to get in to the apartment the floors were soaking wet and there was no soap in the bathrooms.
Receptions was excellent and gave me towels for the floors and soaps.
Besides that beautiful area a s comfy bed (would be better if the pillows weren't quite so bulky)

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate all feedback provided, and certainly use this as a tool for constantly improving our product and service further. Firstly I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for your room not being available by our standard check-in time. We endeavor to have all rooms ready by 2.00pm, however are not always able to meet this objective due to rooms taking longer than anticipated to clean. These comments have been passed onto our managing housekeeper, and we have put new procedures into place to avoid this reoccurring in the future. I would like to thank you for your kind comments regarding our reception staff, we pride ourselves on our friendly and helpful service, and it is great to see this shining through. Your comment regarding our beds is greatly appreciated as we are currently undergoing a refurbishment of all of our apartments, and we have recently replaced all of our beds. The pillows are next on our list, and we hope to have these installed into all apartments over the next month. If you are returning to the area anytime soon, please contact me directly, and I will ensure you are well looked after.

Kind Regards,
Aaron Rooke
