The Squid Shack is not your normal restaurant. For those of us that can remember, it is very reminiscent of the old caravans that used to cook the best hamburgers and the like in any city or town long before the fast food chains moved in. It still has that same look and feel about it. Perthites would recognise it as the Cicerallos of the South West.
The seafood there is marvellous and its popularity is such that on at least one occasion we have had to wait 2 hours before our order could be filled there were so many wanting to be fed. I thoroughly agree with the good reports about their salt and pepper squid - it is too die for. surprisingly enough, I find the 'fish bits' to be the best value - such a little money gets you such a lot of fish off cuts, a bit like fish fingers but with a variety of tastes.
Well worth the wait and certainly well worth a visit.
