“Excellent hosts”
Reviewed 24 January 2014

we spent two nights here recently, an easy drive down following our flight into Perth.
East to find on the main road, but that did not mean it was noisy.
Very comfortable room, good clean ensuite, and a great living room in which to relax.
Very homely and excellent breakfasts!

Thankyou Doreen and John for making our stay enjoyable. We had three wonderful days and would recommend staying here. Lovely cooked breakfast and served right on the time you ask for. Very comfortable bed but can hear the traffic noise. Lots of information given by our hosts on what to see and do also wineries and eating out. Will be staying again when we are in Busselton. Angus the cute little dog is really well behaved. Once again thanks Doreen and John, regards Angela, Monica, Graeme and Don.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent.

After a 7 day stay in Swan Valley near Perth, we spent two days trying to catch some of the sights in Margaret River area. We stayed at the Broadwater for one night. We were welcomed by John and Doreen, like we were old friends. The house is on the main highway, so there is some road noise. having breakfast included in the rate made the stay reasonably priced. The accommodations are comfy, like walking into Granma's house, cozy and eclectic. We had the room with a queen bed, our designated washroom was across the hall, which was a bit weird. But worked. We shared a small kitchen with another couple who were staying. Would recommend this place.

Room Tip: There are two rooms, ask for the one that has the ensuite. The other room has a designated washroom...

My elderly mother and I visited Busselton to see friends for 5 days. We stayed with John and Doreen and found it to be the perfect choice for us. They made us very welcome, we had the whole of the downstairs to ourselves which included a beautiful wood fire and lounge room with TV and Foxtel. Our room had a double bed and single bed with ensuite. After a long day out it was lovely to relax and not feel we had to watch TV in our rooms. Doreen made sure we knew of any tourist events that were on and provide us with a yummy breakfast each day. The price of the accommodation was so reasonable I was dubious until we arrived and then was more than satisfied we had made the right choice. My mother was also very impressed and plans to let her retirement village know of this little gem. We both found it to be a home away from home accommodation. Thanks Doreen and John, regards Lesley and Isabel

You could not find more welcoming hosts than John and Doreen who own Broadwater B & B.
We stayed for a week in glorious weather at the start of February. Busselton is a delightful town on the coast with super beaches, shopping and opportunities to tour the SW area around Margaret River. Our hosts were so welcoming and knew just where we Poms should visit. John even took us to the golf course, as we hadn't seen any kangaroos...and there they were. Of course we saw them every day after that. As keen birdwatchers the area is very good with the Vasse catchment and varying coastal habitat nearby. There are not enough superlatives to describe our stay.

We were in Busselton for the Ironman WA competition, which involves weird hours, strange practices and odd eating requirements. But our lovely hosts, John and Doreen, talk absolutely everything in their stride. We had a big room with an ensuite, a double and a single bed, free broadband, TV and DVD - and best of all with a triathlete in the family, a kitchen for the use of guests. Doreen's breakfasts deserve to be legendary, and somehow just about every egg we had was a double yolk. The B&B is on the main road so there's a bit of traffic noise during the day but we weren't particularly disturbed - and it's very quiet at night. The other guest who was staying at the same time was from New Caledonia, and John switched from French to English and back again without blinking. It's a bit of a hike into town, so you'll need a car - but there's a lovely beach a couple of hundred metres down the road. We were made very welcome, and felt very much at home and very much looked after. We were tempted not to tell anyone else about it, in case they run out of room for us next time!

we sayed for a few nights here, we were treated like kings & queens by our wonderful hosts. We had a great room with ensuite, excellent recreational areas . Great breakfasts and great advice on local attractions and things to do and see. We were allowed our own freedom and never felt crowded in any way.
