We stayed in a resort room, pretty basic but clean. Heater and shower worked well. Toaster did not work. Had dimner in restaurant, good food, decent portion size. Reception staff were friendly. Curtains barely covered windows length wise.

Stayed: June 2014, travelled on business

I stayed recently for 2 nights, as part of a trip from the UK to visit friends in Australia. The accommodation is fairly basic, but good value for the special price we got, so plenty of room for the married couple, their 3 kids and myself.
However, going in May is not the best idea - it was FREEZING!!!! There is a heater in the main living room/diner area, but the bedrooms are so cold.

As a base for what we wanted to do it was fine, we really didn't spend much time there, but the restaurant was a bit of a let down too - very slow service (when we were the only ones there) and the food very average with a limiting menu.

So not bad, but not brilliant. I am sure that in the summer months it is a much nicer place to stay.

I have stayed at this place at least a couple of dozen times, It was once the envy of the South West but it has been neglected in recent years,

The room I stayed in had a toilet that kept running, The Mattress and pillows were horrible and the grounds were over grown with extremely poor lighting around the villa's which makes it very dangerous if trying to walk to and from the car after dark.

Whilst it is still really good value and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if I will return.

The quality of food at the Spinnakers restaurant has deteriorated.

Room Tip: villa's are better than the rooms

We stayed here for 3 nights last week on an Our deal package.
We arrived late but had clear instructions on how to find our villa. We had to park a little walk away from our villa so finding it in the dark was interesting. On finding it we were delighted to find a ver spacious 2 bedroom villa. It was the best bed I have slept in for a long while so good I had to rip off the sheets on leaving and find out the brand.
The property is quite a way out of the main town so you need to drive every where.
I would stay here again good value. One small thing more cutlery would be good.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a resort room while attending a seminar. The room was huge and the bed was clean and comfortable and there was everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Sadly the carpet was filthy and had a huge hole in it next to the bed. The corridors have an awful smell of old tobacco and sewerage.
The best thing about this resort is the dedicated staff. The service was above average and staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome.
I would definitely not stay here again though.

Room Tip: Go for the villas NOT the resort rooms.
