“Rooms need TLC”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Went for a girlie weekend to Bussleton and when arriving at our room it was lovely. It was a villa with 3 bedrooms, we had 2 women in each bedroom. 1st we had to call reception to get one of the double beds separated (we had paid 3x$10 to have the doubles made into singles). Once settling onto the lounge, 2 women sat and nearly fell through. Another call to reception, and a wood board was promptly delivered to fix the problem. (a couple of the dining room chairs were dodgy too). In the room I was in there was one bed that was very soft and the other bed was firmer. I took the softer bed as my friend had a sore back, my bed was lovely to sleep in, the other bed was slept in well, but did have problems. As leaning out of the bed to reach something, the top mattress raised so much it almost tipped the person out. Also the quilt on one of the beds was rotten,,,as in , was in tatters. It took 4 phone calls to get a new quilt. All in all it was a lovely place to stay, but the place needs some TLC and attention to detail. Also, after a lovely meal at the onsite restaurant we were going to while away sometime in the games room, but that, like reception closed at 7pm. That is a little early. It is also a bit of a maze to find the room you are in.

Room Tip: one of our bedroms was right on the main road and it was not noisy at all. If you are going with a f...

I believe that the photos from this hotel are totally misleading - especially if one stays in a standard room! The room is very aged and really needs innovation. The door leading to the garden, was not cold proof which means that if one stays during the winter with strong winds, will certainly catch a cold... especially when you are not able to leave the a/c open because of the noise!!!

I was generally pleased when we checked in. The lobby looked nice and proper. There was even an area for Arcade, table-tennis and some pool tables. The staff were friendly and they provided us with some good tips on where to have dinner. They also offered to book some of the tour for us and make all the necessary arrangement. They even called me when we were out for dinner to notify us that the tour were booked for next day.

However their office closed at 7pm. I have to get back to the reception before 7pm so that they could get some of our details from us before confirming the tour for the next day.

On one occasion, we were hopping to play some table-tennis at their gaming area at night only to see that it had closed for the day.

The road leading to the reception and the villas were pitch dark. The dimmed light over at the lobby area was our guiding lights from the road leading in.

We stayed in a villas with no room. I would say it is well-equipped with all the necessary items. From kettle to cutlery to dish-washing agent and kitchen towels to toiletries to sofa, TV and bed to Air-conditional with reversal function were all there in the villas. I really like the kitchenette which enable us to cook simple meal in the morning before we set off.

However we observed that small ants were constantly falling down to our bed. Despite spraying with some pesticide, the ants continued to appear. We were forced to slp away from the wall where ants were spotted.

No housekeeping for the 4 days that we stayed there. Was told by the staff that our villas does not have any housekeeping services. I was just pondering.. If there were no housekeeping services, at least provide us with a few more plastic bags so that we can replace our dustbins rather than leaving it unattended in the room.

Security could be tighter as well as anyone could just drive in without any verification.

The location though is good. A bout 5 mins drive from the heart of Busselton.

the villa for 2 bedrooms has only 1 area that consists of the toilet, bathroom and the washing machine / dryer. so it tends to be rather challenging for our family to take turn to use this area for toileting/bathing/washing clothes..... shower area itself is quite small too.... just enough to turn around.....

the villa is quite spacious and well furnished with the kitchenette..... however when one return late at night, the area in the resort are not well-lit hence it looks scary to walk around the resort trying to figure out where is our resort villa..... like the scene in the horror movie though.... out in the countryside..... it is very near the beach though.... really withing walking distance.... no directions given so we asked for it..... the receptionist were very friendly and accommodating....

the grass patches outside seemed quite dirty.... not swept.... not sure if it's due to the rainy and cold weather where there are plenty of leaves and dried grass everywhere.....

the reception closes at early hours in the day and since this is a town and there is not much to do in the evening onwards.... we were hoping to go into the lounge area to play pool, arcade etc.... but to our dismay, it was closed around 7pm??? so we got no choice but to loan DVD but its either the DVD is faulty or the DVD player in the villa is not working..... haiz..... plus there were not much interesting tv channels on air.... we were really bored.... perhaps resort can look into keeping the lounge open for longer hours?

our villa were not cleaned throughout our 4D3N stay..... is this the norm? even the rubbish bin in the kitchen and toilet was not cleared and we were rather surprised as this is the first time i encounter that rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis..... can i know why? is this the usual practice? i really don't mind if the bedsheets and pillow cases are not changed daily.... but towels and rubbish bin are not cleared seemed a little too much for me to take..... so we took it out to dump it outside..... plus we washed and dry our towels ourselves daily..... this is extra time and effort we need to fork out to do daily...... when we are supposed to be on a holiday..... management..... do think about this.....

Room Tip: the villas looked alike.... except for 2 bedrooms villa only have 1 area for toilet-bathroom-washing...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your valued feedback, I just need to mention that the reason that we do not service the accommodation daily is because the accommodation is self contained. However we do provide replenishments of amenities such as shetts, towels, coffee, toilet paper etc on request at no charge which can be delivered from housekeeping or collected from reception.

Thank you once again and we do hope that you will consider us as an option for your accommodation if visiting the region in the future.

Kind Regards

Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. In need of a spruce up but had everything you needed and very comfortable. Great facilities for the kids with two pools, chipping and putting green, basketball half court, free DVDs. Will be back.
Just don't eat at Spinnakers.

Stayed in resort room, room was very clean & the location is great, however, the carpet was threadbare & stained. The shower was tiny & awkwardly placed. The bed.. Oh the bed was AWFUL, the WORST I have EVER slept in. It is older than the 2nd coming of Christ, springs dug into us during the night, it was too small (size not mentioned in room detail
At booking) both our feet hung off the end & each time one of us rolled over the other got bounced around like on a trampoline. We both "woke" with bad backs & considers cutting out stay short it was that bad. The resort is in desperate need of repair & upgrading. While I'm all for budget accommodation this was appalling. I would never stay here again!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Bayview Geographe Resort. Check in was great. Nice and easy with no hassles. Stayed in the 3 bedroom 3 bathroom unit. Rooms are roomy and clean. Each room has its own t.v and bar fridge and the lounge room was very adequate. Will defiantly be returning.
