We stayed here just after Christmas and now understand why there was availability for last minute booking! We stayed on a powered site and the whole "grassed" area was a dust bowl that showed no sign of sprinklers. The toilets and showers were grubby with broken tiles, peeling paint and dusty cobwebs. The bins in the toilet blocks were not emptied for the whole time we were there, so that they were overflowing onto the floor. The paths were broken, uneven and full of pot holes. There was only 2 barbeques for the whole site and the kitchen area was dirty, greasy and old. Nothing seems to cleaned for our entire stay. The sites weren't marked out, so when we arrived we had to get the management to ask the people camping on our powered spot to move, and they had to move everything so that we had access to the power that we had paid for. There was so many permanent sites, many of which were cobbled together with different materials to make up fencing. The one opposite our spot was a mixture of bits of doors and various fencing, was overgrown and had a broken down fridge and other tatty bits of equipment in the outside area. Thank goodness we have a campervan so that we aren't dependant on the campsite. We would not return except to shudder as we drive by.
