Located very close to the town centre and lots of eating places.
Clearly in good order and well run. This is an older motel but many upgrades have been done and it seemed to be priced exactly right. The room was clean in fact very clean also linen was fresh.
I booked on Wotif and then called as I would arrive late. Reception cheerfully explained how to access after hours, just how it should be cheerful and helpful!
Stayed Early May 2014.

Room Tip: Down stairs around room 30

We booked a standard room for a night for $100. There was a disclaimer saying that those rooms might be a little noisier due as it's closer to the road. But I must say I didn't even notice any car noises. The only noise was the TV from next door but that was bearable and it was turned off early.

The room had a double bed and single bed, a round table with 3-4 chairs, a cupboard with extra pillows and benchtop and coffee/tea facilities. Toiletries wise, only a bar of soap so bring all your other stuff. We were provided with a towel each (no smaller handtowels) and a bath mat/towel. All in all, pretty basic but adequate. No wifi.

I would stay again as I think it's pretty ok for $100. Located next to Red Rooster if you need a landmark.

Service was ok and I asked for a later check-out and was given till 11am, which worked for me (default check out is a bit early at 10am)

Upon checking in, there was a total lack of anything resembling "Customer service". Sign at reception states, "Payment must be made immediately"!
Found the breakfast menu (on small photocopied paper) in the room which made further demands on payment. Appreciate it is only a continental breakfast, but if you pay by credit card when registering, you must pay cash for the breakfast. No mention of breakfast at Reception. Order must be in by 7pm and will be delivered that evening. Not too far away is another budget motel at 50% of the price but is far more welcoming.
Small room, with a newly renovated bathroom - which is good. A/C quite noisy. Another sign states they give 4 pillows and you will be billed if you take any!!!!
From my point, all we got from the identical 4 pillows was a stiff neck the next morning!
Suggest Management offer an alternative soft pillow as well.
Fortunately this was only a stopping point for one night and we would not consider staying there again. May do if it was around 30% cheaper.

Room Tip: Suggest an upgrade to the newly renovated section at the rear of the complex - very quiet. Choice of...

We stayed at the Amaroo over a weekend in February. Check in was swift, staff was friendly and helpful. We were in one of the rooms on Bussell Hwy but there was absolutely no noise from the traffic at all. Although the bed was only a double, it was had clean sheets, nice soft pillows and very comfortable. Shower had good pressure and was spotlessly clean. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom.

There is a flat screen TV with remote, small table with 2 chairs, two bedside tables with table lamps, clock radio, bar fridge, mugs, glasses, kettle, tea, coffee and UHT milk and a toaster. However there are no plates or cutlery. But you can order a light continental breakfast (Juices $2; Cereal inc milk $3; Toast inc butter & spread for $1 per slice). We didn't order breakfast but would assume you get plates and cutlery, and do the toast yourself.

The check out time is 10am but you can pay $10 per hour until 12pm if you want late check out. There is also a guest laundry on the property that is opened from 7:30am to 7:30pm. Cost per machine is 2 x $1 and laundry powder is available for purchase at $1. This would be excellent if you are staying for longer period as I don't think there is a launderette in Busselton. There is free BBQ facility for guest use.

Overall, nice, clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. Very close to Busselton Town Centre and would definitely stay here again.

we stayed at The Amaroo Motel in Busselton for the Australia Day long weekend in January. Our room was clean and well maintained and as nice if not nicer than any motel i've stayed in (we've travelled extensively across Australia from West to East and return). Not just the room but the grounds as well, with lovely lawned BBQ area under shade, and lovely gardens. Well situated in Central Busselton with easy walk to Jetty, the main Shopping precinct and plenty of takeaway and restaurant options close by. The staff were very friendly with lots of good advice about local interests.
Great Weekend

I was booked in at Amaroo for 6 nights for the recent Ironman Western Australia race and I totally enjoyed my stay there.

1. Check in was fuss free.

2. Given a room away from the highway so it was quiet. Carpark lot in front. There are many lots so even if the lot in front is taken up, you can always park elsewhere.

3. Near to all F&B outlets as well as supermarkets like Woolsworth and IGA. 1km away from the Jetty

4. I get clean towels everyday and also bedsheets tucked in nicely.

5. Room is clean and no smells. Bathroom is spacious.

Perfect place for either a short or long stay!

* The photos here don't do justice to the place. It looks way much better in real life.

Hard to find a staff member after hours for an emergency. As the after hours mobile was switched off. There was a squashed dead moth on my "clean" towel that was folded on the bed. Turned me off a little after that. The bed didn't feel clean, the sheets were slightly stained. The draft came through the tiny cracks under the window. Ive stayed in other budget motels before and don't expect resort style quality but clean linen is a basic requirement ! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with standards.
