Great part of the coastline with clear water and sheltered swimming for families. Sun shaded areas, clean toilet amenities and lots of lawn to spread out a picnic blanket.

This is a delightful beach with a shady tree, barbecues and the great Dome Cafe opposite. Very calm especially good for small children. However, for months there has been smelly horrid seaweed which makes it impossible to take my small grandchildren there..and no-one has bothered to remove it!! oh dear.

Very calm good beach for families to take a picnic and enjoy the day? It would be very unusual to find the beach crowded.

My brother and I walked the beach every morning - a great way to start the day and walk off last night's food. It is not your sweeping Aussie beach but there are rock pools and little sandbars but sweeping vistas up and down the coast. great for kiddies as it is shallow for a long way out, and has little surf on the northern side, but bigger waves to the west. The whole area is very clean although the seaweed is not removed and it gives it all a rather nice, beachy tang. It was two minutes from where I was staying - heaven on a stick. Never saw it busy, just a few friendly morning walkers with their dogs. Great part of the world.

Lovely water , fair walk down the hill to the beach however good surf for body boarding and older kids can play with no problems.
