This resort has been operating for over 20 yrs and is still presented if built just a few years, been a member for 20yrs & only started using it recently (often spacebanked) gardens beautiful, units clean with all appliances one needs on holiday. Free very clean bbqs around the pool areas a must for outside cooking. inside & outside Pools spotless, on cooler days the inside pool is wonderful. We all loved sitting in the jacuzzis. Games room adequate, tennis and squash also. Take a walk around at night, fairy lights so pretty.
Plenty to do in the area.
Will come again.

We have been coming down to Silver Sands now for about 10 years and we just love coming down for our annual holidays in March. From the moment we arrive to the day we have to leave it's just like being at home. What can I say about the people who work at this great place, we are always made to so very welcome and looked after so fantastically well. My parents had been going down twice a year for the holidays and always loved being there as well. Last week when the weather was bad and we were renewing our Wedding vows (25 years) they even helped with an alternative just in case we couldn't make it to the beach in Rockingham. Thank you guys for looking after the family so well...... Till next year xx

We go every year. When my daughter was younger we swam, played put put golf, tennis, racquet ball, table tennis, pool etc all on the resort grounds. Now we are older we enjoy the relaxation and ambience of the resort. Everything is immaculate and if there is a problem it is corrected professionally and efficiently. There are rules within the resort but these are in place to ensure the safety of guests and provide a total holiday experience for all. Those that complain about these rules are quite happy let their children and teenagers run riot causing damage and making other guests experience unpleasant. I am pleased to say that the other guests I have met over the years have been friendly, happy and wish eveyone else in the resort having as much fun and enjoyment as themselves. This resort is suitable for families, couples, friends and if you just want to go alone. Management and all staff always greet you with a smile and happy to help you anyway they can. If you wish to explore there are walks along river boardwalk, restaurants, boat cruises, dolphins, markets, shopping, beaches, too many to list. Mandurah is only an hour from Perth. Check Silver Sands out and have a terrific holiday. You will meet guests from all over the world.

Room Tip: These are self contained two bedroom or studio rooms with plenty of room. Go to their web site and s...

The resort is very clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. The unit furnishings are not very new but passable and functional and it is well equipped with washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven and hairdryer. The kitchen is well stocked except for detergent and condiments if you plan to cook much. The hot shower temperature is quite erratic sometimes. There are quite a lots of rules but that don't bother me much as long as one behaves nothing out of the ordinary should be fine. The location is quite good. There is a supermarket right across the street and the marina and city centre is only 3 to 5 minutes drive away. The beach is within 5 minute walk. What more can you ask?...:)

Thank you for your feedback and review for future guests.
One of our big projects every year is to completely refurbish as many apartments as possible. This can be quite a task when we are often running at occupancy rates of more than 80% for the whole year. Last year we managed to complete 7 apartments and hope to achieve a good number of them this year.
We are also in the processes of refurbishing our outdoor pool and spas so look out for photos of them on our websiite when we are finished.

We have just come back from the Silver Sands Resort, second time in 17 years. What a great place and great staff. Pool was immaculate and so were the grounds. My wife is the ultimate clean freak and she had nothing to complain about, it was beautifully kept. When i read some of the critical reviews i can guarantee you those people are happy with nothing, they only imagine this great resort in the sky that does not exist. I am a big whinger myself and stay at 5 star accommodation regularly and this place was just great.....all you need to take is a good attitude and you will enjoy.
Regards the hard to please Hobartian

Room Tip: All rooms had great access to pool room 28 was tops.

So many dont's for the pool!! Is there anything kids can do in the pool?
Our second bathrooms shower head had only a trickle coming out, so the kids could not use it at all so what's the point of having another bathroom...
Also the water temp would go from cold to boiling hot and then repeat..aghhh, also to half fill the bath for the kids took an hour with just the slow stream from the spout.
You have to pay for visitor parking!!!!!!
Also other guests (the timeshare holders) seem to believe that all the chairs poolside belong to them.. so remember to become a physic so not too upset anyone as I did to get a mouthful of foul language...(thanks to that guy in front of a pool full of children)..
All up we will never go again not even if it was free...
Love mandurah though...

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at the resort.

We have noticed your sentiment regarding the rules for the usage of the pools at the resort and whilst we do acknowledge that children and water are a wonderful combination unfortunately some activities which some guests find acceptable in a home environment pool are simply not acceptable in a public environment such as a resort pool.

The resort is obligated to ensure the all guests can have a safe and enjoyable experience, as such the resort does enforce pool rules for the benefit of all.

We are sorry y to hear of your difficulties with the water flow but we are concerned that we have no record of you informing us as this is problem does occur from time to time because of silt blocking faucet and shower nozzles. If we were made aware we could have fixed it quite quickly for you.

We do advise on all booking confirmations that the resort only has 1 space per unit and the second car space is a pay for use arrangement at an offsite security parking lot.

The pool seating I am afraid is a very common issue at many resorts and hotels and is one with which I myself have experience a number of times but thank you for letting us know. Swearing in front of children is not acceptable for any reason and we do wish we had been advised of the incident so it could have been address at the time.

I am sorry that you feel that you would not come back to the resort but we do hope that perhaps in the future you will reconsider and give the resort another opportunity.

Regards
Brian George

We have stayed several times here. The apartment has always been clean & indeed are spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped minus the oven. I questioned the oven & was told that it was either a dishwasher or an oven, just not enough space for both. The pool areas are lovely & everything is kept clean.

I do agree that the management come down hard on kids who just want to have fun. It is a family resort so let the families enjoy themselves rather than have parents on tenter hooks all the time. Maybe they will loosen up these summer holidays
