I liked the interactive classroom and detailed history of Mandurah. Some of the exhibits were being upgraded and not available. I would certainly visit again.

This museum is located just beside the old Mandurah wooden bridge. It looks small from the outside, but is like a 'Tardis'.... it is bigger on the inside.
There is a lot of history of the Peel region here, the friendly & knowledgeable staff are on hand to show you the exhibits.
Some of the attractions are: the prison cells, megamouth shark, historic photos, indigenous heritage, shipwreck stories, dairymple schoolroom...the whole schoolroom, that has a video running & you can even sit down & write with a real ink pen....I did and ended up with ink all over my hands....lol. They have holiday programs, tours & activities to share in....great for kids.
There is a fully restored Essex Super 6 on display as well.
It is free entry (bonus). Its run by volunteers & there are some small souveniers that you can buy.....they have a donation box, put something in it as they use the funds to constantly upgrade.
All in all a cool way to spend an hour or two & learn a bit about the Peel region.
