“Beautiful nights stay”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

We stayed in a 2 bed villa, which was located up on the hill with wonderful views. With the wood fired potbelly heater our cosy night stay was great. Only maintenance suggestion is replacing the carpet. In our villa it was stained in many areas and ripped in the main living area.

Dinner at the restaurant was faultless, both in service and quality of the meals. Best of all there was a deal that children's meal were free if ordered before 7pm. We recommend eating at the restaurant.

Overall a wonderful night , we wished we could have stayed longer!

Stayed for two nights as a two family group of eight while exploring the area. We arrived early but were still allowed to check-in which was great.
Our chalet had three bedrooms, a double, a room with a double bottom/single top bunk and a room with a bunk and separate single. It was located within the wooded area with a big balcony facing the lake (view somewhat obscured by the trees though!) Some very friendly birds came and sat right next to us.
The location was wonderful - did a lovely walk right round the lake to Beedelup Falls (just a trickle at the end of Summer) and also went out to Pemberton (20 mins drive), climbed the Gloucester Tree and Bicentennial Tree and went down to the Valley of the Giants near Walpole (about 2 hours drive).
We ate in the resort restaurant on the first night and the food was excellent - not cheap but one child eats free with one adult so overall very good value. We also had breakfast the second morning (kids eat free again) and that was also very good with a great hot and cold selection.
They have activities and we really enjoyed the archery which was run by a very nice young lady.
There were a couple of minor niggles - there was only one sofa in the lounge which wasn't enough for 8 people and the TV didn't actually have any TV channels (could only be used for playing DVDs for which there was a charge - this should really be complimentary as it was at the other resort we stayed at). Also we played on the mini golf course which could be really excellent but unfortunately it was in a bit of a state of disrepair with several broken bits and a dilapidated disused building near the start which gave a rather run-down feel.
But overall we really enjoyed our stay - the staff were all friendly and helpful and we would certainly stay again of ever in the area.

My friends took me here as they had stayed here previously. I could see why the wanted to return. On our arrival we saw loads of kangaroos and emus relaxing and feeding in the sun. The view of the lake was stunning. The chalet overlooked the lake and had everything we could need. We lit a fire on the wood burner (all the wood was chopped and ready for us).
3 Kookaboroughs came on to the porch along with numerous parrots and other birds I had never seen. They were so tame my friend was hand feeding them!
The rooms were large and clean but a little tired how're given the amazing setting it didn't matter. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb. The steak I had wad like butter to cut through. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I would definitely return.

Karri Valley Resort is just magical! We stayed here three nights and had a great time. We had a lakeside room, complete with balcony right on the water. Just beautiful!! The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast at the restaurant was great. We also ordered the in-house dining for dinner one night - food however, was terrible. There are some great hikes around the property as well! We would definitely return!

Our non English speaking friends loved the location with all the Roo's on the way in to welcome them and the evening setting sun over the lake and even better in the morning.
A French speaking person in the reception was a bonus.
Meals were great, our only criticism was that we had downstairs lake view rooms and a family arriving after 11pm in the room above made such a racket that sleep was impossible until after midnight. Timber floors, with very little sound proofing!
For our next stay we will request one of the single floor or first floor lakeside rooms, and would make this recommendation.

Room Tip: Don't order a ground floor lakeside room.

Thank you for posting your review.

It’s great to hear that our resident kangaroos were able to welcome you on arrival here at the resort, they certainly are a highlight here at Karri Valley and really showcase
the area to our international guests.

Your feedback regarding the noise can be a challenge, however as the main resort building including our Lakeside rooms are constructed out of timber there can be
some disturbance when guests are moving about at certain times. Your feedback regarding experience in our restaurant will be passed onto the teams concerned as I know that
they will appreciate the recognition.

Once again, many thanks for taking the time to post your review.

Although the resort is a little "old", it all seems to just work.
The place is so beautiful and full of things to do.
We had a room with the balcony on the water! The room was very simple but very nice at the same time. The tv was old school with only 3 channels (but we weren't really expecting much)
Definitely not the place to go if you are looking to party, but for relaxing and having a good weekend with your partner I'd highly recommend it.

Many thanks for your review and we are pleased to hear that your stay with us was an enjoyable one.

Karri Valley is certainly located in a great spot for those who just want to switch off and unwind, the walks around the lake take you deep into the Karri Forest.
With the Beedelup National Park surrounding the resort, you really are taken right back to nature.

Thank you again for your review.

This is a beautiful place to stay, but definately needs renovating. The place is looking very old and tired. Carpetss were stained, shower had marks all on the floor, TV needs to be upgraded. Towels needs replacing.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review as we appreciate all feedback relating to our resort.

Karri Valley Resort is certainly located in a terrific spot, with some lovely nature walks and trails surrounding the property which enable our guests to take in the trully unique Karri Valley experience.

In the very near future the property is ear marked for an upgrade which we hope will see some major improvements to both the guest accommodation and services here at Karri Valley Resort. As these changes do take some time to plan we hope to see these come into place soon.

Thank you again for your review.
