Two couples stayed 2 nights at Big Brook Cottages. The rooms are very well appointed and located at opposite ends of the cottage with bathroom and separate toilet in between thus providing privacy for two couples traveling together. The living/dining/kitchen is a large open space running the length of the cottage with French doors opening on to a verandah surrounded by cottage garden. Each cottage is surrounded by gardens so you don't see the other residents. Lots of birds and lovely views over grassed paddock to forest. Owners are very welcoming and provide little extras like pick your own vege garden and herbs. We did the recommended walk through the forest to Big Brook Dam and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed in cottage 1 (a 2 bedroom) for a long weekend of truffle hunting in June 2014.
It was relaxing and luxurious. The cottages were perfectly appointed with reverse cycle heating or a log fire for the cold nights.
Fred and Sarah provided everything we could want, including the little touches. The fire was set and ready to light when we arrived, milk was provided as was beautiful linen and Sheridan towels.
The gardens created an air of serenity and provided privacy and a sanctuary for the local birds.
The view was breathtaking and the close proximity to the Big Brook Dam was welcome.
The surrounding areas are a hidden jewel that get overlooked in favour of the big wine region to the North. To the great loss of those who don’t consider this area.
Better value for money could not be found.

We cannot recommend Big Brook cottages enough. It was a delightful visit that we will be repeating. Thank you Sarah and Fred – we loved it!

The cottages are clean, well appointed, and the owners have covered every virtually contingency in terms of guest needs, from the robes and slippers in the bedroom to insect repellant available in the kitchen cupboards.

The gardens are perfectly maintained, and a short stroll across the road is the tip of the tall timber Forrest

Across the road is a dirt track leading to the big brook dam.
The dirt road is easily handled by 2 wheel drive vehicles in the summer. Seek local knowledge in the wet months.

One of the best accommodations we have stayed in around Australia, high quality amenities and such a lovely location! It was our first time to Pemberton and our hosts ensured that we had enough knowledge to make the most out of the region. Kudos to the owners for having such pride in their offering!

Room Tip: Cottage 4 is the furthest away from the central house

The cottages are beautifully presented and the owners have paid attention to every detail, right down to Natio products in the bathroom, coffee machines with pods, sheridan sheets and towels. Everything is spotless.

The cottages are surrounded by flowers, birdlife (blue wrens danced across the verandah) and sweeping grounds. it is quiet and private.

There is a lovely veggie patch nearby which is available to the guests.

Nearby is a lovely walk to the Big Brook Dam and lovely Pemberton. And of course, giant Karri, Marri and Jarrah (Barri) trees to wonder at. This is god's country.

The owners are delightful and very friendly and we highly recommend this location for couples and that much needed re-charge and re-connection with your loved one.

FIVE stars.

My wife and I stayed at the Big Brook Cottages for two nights in October 2013. It was our second stay in three years and we will definitely come back to the area and stay in the cottages again soon.
Great location, beautifully decorated, superbly appointed, spotless, quiet, close to town but not too close, really luxurious accommmodation without the high price tag.
The area is lovely at any time of the year and Pemberton has everything you need for a great holiday.

We stayed at the wonderful Big Brook cottages for 2 nights, and could have stayed an eternity. The setting is incredible, and matched entirely by the service and comfort provided by the cabins and their owners. The cottages are just lovely, perfectly appointed, warm and inviting. Wonderful to wake in the morning to the call of birds, and to enjoy a quiet cuppa while surveying the tranquil scene just outside your window. If the cabins weren't enough to guarantee a return, Fred and Sarah went well beyond the call of duty to ensure our needs were more than catered for. Can not wait to go back!
