My wife and I spent 2 nights in their one bedroom cottage. We walked into a spotless cottage that had all thee amenities you would expect from five star accommodation. We had a lot planned in terms of visiting local attractions, however spent 90% of the time remaining on the property (15 acres), relaxing and simply enjoying the most fantastic surroundings we have ever stayed at. Two days was way too short for us!! The highlight of the property was the native gardens and birdlife. We loved it!! We will be back!!

Room Tip: We stayed in cottage 2 which had a spa and nespresso coffee machine. Not sure what the other cottages contain.

When you book a 4* place online most of the time you get a run-down 3*place but in our opinion the Big Brook Cottages is a 5*.When my wife and I first walked in the first thing that we noticed was how clean the place was and the attention to detail. We loved the log fire the corner spa the coffee machine and all the smaller touches like warm bath robes and slippers, fluffy white lovelly smelling towels quality coffee and even love heart chocolates at the end of the bed. There are only 4 cottages each one separated by manicured gardens so there is no disturbance from other guests .If your looking for a romantic getaway in a great part of W.A this is the place for you.We will be back.

Stayed two nights last week. Immaculately clean, beautifully maintained gardens and property. Cottages equiped and decorated thoughtfully. Close to many attractions, walk trails and wineries. Loved it all. Our beautiful South West Country is hard to beat.

Room Tip: Stayed in cottage three. All very quiet and private

Two couples stayed 2 nights at Big Brook Cottages. The rooms are very well appointed and located at opposite ends of the cottage with bathroom and separate toilet in between thus providing privacy for two couples traveling together. The living/dining/kitchen is a large open space running the length of the cottage with French doors opening on to a verandah surrounded by cottage garden. Each cottage is surrounded by gardens so you don't see the other residents. Lots of birds and lovely views over grassed paddock to forest. Owners are very welcoming and provide little extras like pick your own vege garden and herbs. We did the recommended walk through the forest to Big Brook Dam and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed in cottage 1 (a 2 bedroom) for a long weekend of truffle hunting in June 2014.
It was relaxing and luxurious. The cottages were perfectly appointed with reverse cycle heating or a log fire for the cold nights.
Fred and Sarah provided everything we could want, including the little touches. The fire was set and ready to light when we arrived, milk was provided as was beautiful linen and Sheridan towels.
The gardens created an air of serenity and provided privacy and a sanctuary for the local birds.
The view was breathtaking and the close proximity to the Big Brook Dam was welcome.
The surrounding areas are a hidden jewel that get overlooked in favour of the big wine region to the North. To the great loss of those who don’t consider this area.
Better value for money could not be found.

We cannot recommend Big Brook cottages enough. It was a delightful visit that we will be repeating. Thank you Sarah and Fred – we loved it!
