We were very comfortable here for 2 nights, staying in the dead of winter. The gardens are lovely, the fireplace and bar very welcome on arrival and breakfast included is a treat. The location close to - but not in - town was ideal too.

Room Tip: The bigger rooms (KS + SB) are very specious.

Nice place to stay. Nice grounds. Fantastic breakfasts. Room felt a little damp on arrival but heated up easily. The spa is a spa bath. Situated just out of town.
Highlight was the breakfast watching the birds on the deck outside.

We stayed for one night in a guest room. It was quite pleasantly cosy on what was a very wet evening. The main lodge has a lovely lounge area with a gas log fire, plenty of books, games & DVDs to choose from. A buffet breakfast was included in the price and I had the best poachies I've had for a while. The lodge is in a beautiful location with a dam you can walk around and lots of birds, wallabies etc., while also being very close to town. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: There are larger chalets which I didn't see which would suit larger family groups.

We stayed at Forest Lodge Resort whilst attending the Manjimup "Truffle Kerfuffle" festival during the last weekend in June. We were so lucky to find this accommodation which came recommended by friends from Perth. It was close to Pemberton and about 20 minutes from our event destination. We were pleasantly surprised to find a resort that was beautifully presented with lush gardens and a very comfortable "home away from home" atmosphere. The entrance and driveway led us to a retreat atmosphere , tucked away from the main road. The owner John greeted us to check in after jumping off a tractor whilst working in the garden. (he works very hard as he was back on the bar in the evening and up at breakfast the following day!). We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon and pleasant interaction with a drink in the cosy bar and lounge. Breakfast was served in the lounge with a beautiful outlook to a deck and abundance of beautiful birds. It was so peaceful and topped off by a log fire in the lounge, it was so cosy we found it hard to leave. A very nice continental breakfast was served with delicious local fruits and yoghurts, topped off by a cooked to order hot breakfast and we could choose from a number of items. The breakfast was a delight and lovely way to end our stay. Excellent value as it was included in our rate.
I highly recommend this venue for those wanting to get away for a peaceful break after a frenetic week! We are looking forward to returning and having the opportunity to spend more time to enjoy and relax the peaceful bush setting. John the owner was a most gracious host.

Room Tip: There are chalets and larger rooms for those with bigger groups or families.

We stayed 2 nights in unit 6; one of the self-contained chalets. Very peaceful and quiet.

I like the red-brick living room with tasteful decor and gas-stove heater with such a warm ambience. The living room open into the balcony with a large lawn in front. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable. We borrowed some board games free of charge and rented DVDs at the reception to keep the kids occupied during the cold and wet evenings.

Kitchen is well-equipped for your cooking needs and IGA supermarket is located 5 mins drive away in the town.

Highly enjoyable stay.... will stay here again if we return to Pemberton.

Room Tip: chalet is a good choice for small family

We arrived shortly before lunchtime on a Sunday with pouring rain without a reservation and fortunately could check in early into the most remote one of the chalets. What a peaceful way to spend a rainy day! We fired up the fireplace - there was plenty of local haevy wood provided to keep us up for the rest of the day and the night - and enjoyed the spacious and nicely furnished cozy living room with the burning fire, listening to the rain coming down on the roof above us. We had free excellent fast WiFi to keep us busy and in the evening could observe the Kangoroos grazing next to the house. What a peaceful setting! When the rain stoped, we took our steak to the BBQ and had lunch in our unit with a good bottle of local wine. The view out the window over the nicely manicured park around us in one direction and to the prothea flowers in the other was relaxing as well and the Kangoroos where there jet again for their breakfast.
We can recommend this place to everybody loving nature and a cozy place, yet not far from the town center.

Room Tip: A Chalet is absolute worth the extra.

We stayed here for three nights over the Easter weekend in one of the chalets. We had a wonderful time. The accommodation is lovely and in keeping with the location. The children loved playing on the lawn in the day and watching kangaroos in the evening, precious memories. We had breakfast on our last morning and it was lovely. Lots of choice, great service and wonderful setting. We loved being able to borrow books and games and DVDs. For our young family, the wildlife we saw here was the highlight.

Room Tip: The chalets are perfect for families as they are close to the kangaroos and the playground and you c...
