“Sensational in every way”

We stayed in Hass one of the Luxury Eco chalets. It was just fantastic! All the luxuries of a 5 star hotel with a self contained country feel.

The wood fired dinner on the saturday night was by far the best meal I have had in a long time. Such great food, lovely atmosphere and Sophie's passion for her cooking is felt at every stage.

We will be back!!

Impressed by website - and confirmed on booking in! Sophie was extremely helpful and delightful. Wish we could have visited on the weekend for a dinner - the menu looked enticing! We stayed in the beautifully finished and furnished studio - perfect! The bed was so comfortable -electric blankets wonderful; the kitchen superbly equipped for a studio - loved the all in one oven!; combustion fire fabulous; timber floors and finishes gorgeous; air conditioning convenient for a quick warming in the morning before heading out to explore this amazing region. And.........the bread is heavenly!

We loved our stay at this leafy retreat. We were lucky enough to take part in one of the seasonal dinners. Delicious.

The owners have added three brand new Eco Villas to their selection of accommodation. These are spacious two bedroom villas (one double, one twin) finished to a high spec and furnished with simple, modern, contemporary furniture. All mod cons in the kitchen with combi microwave oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, etc. Only thing missing is a washing machine.

It is set on a “small holding” overlooking fields with sheep, with plenty of parrots and the odd kookabarra and kangaroo around. Binoculars are available for a closer look at the wild life. It is just off the road up to Pemberton, so not entirely free from the odd passing car, but hardly the M25!

You are about a five minute drive out of town, but if you don't fancy the drive, (and you order in advance), Sophie will deliver a two or three course hot meal to your villa. From the UK the prices looked a bit high, but the reality is that it's cheaper than a meal out, and the quality was every bit as good (or better) than most of the restaurants that we ate at during our tour of WA. We regretted not pre-ordering for our second night!

A breakfast basket is made available for your first night, but is only very simple, with home baked bread and jam, fruit juice and ground coffee. You can pay extra for a full breakie hamper if you like.

We didn't see inside the old “chalets” that are still available on the site, but suspect that they are nowhere near as nice. After all, you get what you pay for.

Whilst the villas are towards the top end of prices in the area, they are worth the money, and I would definitely recommend both the villas and the food.

Sophie & Chris, the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The new two bedroom Eco Cottage we stayed in was lovely and light with contemporary furnishings. Well equipped with eveything we needed to settle in for a few days relaxation. The breakfast basket was a great way to start the day before a day of exploring the Karri forest. Full of delicious homemade produce and local food, the basket lasted two days.
Lots of little extras like magazines, DVDS, telescope and coffee machine were all enjoyed.
The location is very central and adjoins National Park. There are great walks directly from the property. We also enjoyed walking down the road to a nearby winery to taste and purchase wine for dinner.
We'll be back!
Thanks
