We stayed in a two-bedroom appartment at Outrigger Noosa for three nights just after Easter. One of the things that stood out for me, amongst many very good points, was that the resort staff always greeted guests with a smile and a friendly "hello" even when you passed them just walking around the resort.

The location is perfect, just at the end of Hastings Street so only a short walk down the hill to everthing you'd want to do in Noosa. If you're too exhausted to make it back up the hill, or simply too lazy because you're on holiday, then you can catch the regular buggy service offered by Outrigger back up to the resort or if you're out of the pickup cycle you can just give them a call and they'll come and get you.

Facilities at the resort are excellent and very well maintained; everything is spotless. The rooms are very spacious and very well equipped.

We took advantage of the three-courses for $59 special at The View restaurant one night and had the best meal in years. There was a good range of options for each course without being too many to torment the brain cells when having to decide what to choose and everything was of a very high quality, perfectly cooked and very, very delicious. The service was friendly and attentive.

The buffet breakfast buffet provided plenty of good selections and the hot food offered a bit of a "homemade" touch to the usual suspects. A great way to start the day!

All in all, a great resort in a great location in a beautiful part of the world. I'm already planning my return visit.

a smile and a friendly "hello"

Good morning and thank you, what a wonderful start back in the property today.

I’m so pleased you joined us for dinner in View. With so many great options for dining on Hastings Street it is very much appreciated when our guests choose to dine with us. Chef Michael’s menu is indeed delicious and the mention here is certainly celebrated throughout the brigade.

Very much looking forward to welcoming you back soon.

Last week, about 150 key members of our management, sales and revenue teams from around the world met in Honolulu for several days of planning at the Hawai‘i Convention Centre as Outrigger Enterprises Group held its 2014 Global Leadership Conference. This past Thursday, Outrigger® Enterprises Group held its annual Po‘okela Awards appropriately themed “May Day Comes to Po‘okela. The place was amazing, in the middle of the rainforest, central but not too close to the city center which can be noisy when too many backpackers are around.
The swimming pools are opened until 9pm, so you can avoid kids ^^
The breakfast buffet is very good, we just regret that the breakfast place could look better
Anyway, it is a real peaceful place, we loved it!

Hello and thank you.
Great to read you loved the resort. Had to have a laugh about your backpacker comments; whilst TNT Magazine’s Golden Backpack Awards have named Noosa’s Halse Lodge hostel as the best in Australia, Hastings Street is a far cry from its counterpart in Byron Bay.

I’m not sure if your comments on the breakfast is atmosphere or physical structure and would gladly invite you to contact me directly to discuss further; if there is a better way to present to our guests we are always open to engage in the debate.

We certainly look forward to welcoming you back when the opportunity presents.

We used our trip this time to show friends from Adelaide the delights of Noosa and the features of the resort. The weather was perfect and the environment captivating. They walked around the resort and took in the design of the place which admirably, has garnered many architectural and environmental awards and they totally embraced the rainforest from the large deck off the unit. They were treated to the standards of the staff, friendly, responsive and relaxed. My wife reported that a lamp had blown in the toilet and she was beaten back to the unit by the maintenance man who replaced it before she could return. We went into Hastings St and caught the buggy back we were delighted with the attitude of the young driver whose friendliness and obliging nature so impressed them that they cannot wait to return. As regulars, we are used to such service and friendliness but they were totally blown away by the place and its people, it was a timely reminder to us just how good the resort is and how proud we are to be regular visitors to the complex. Can't wait to be back 'home' there again.

What an excellent resort!! I wasn't expecting much seeing as we were paying a third of the price we are accustomed to paying for accommodation in Australia but how pleasantly surprised we were! I literally cannot fault the place, a lovely few minutes SHORT walk to the beach and Hastings St, lovely friendly staff, amazing food this is where most places fall down but we ate breakfast here every day and it was great!!!! Loads of healthy options like the delicious Quinoa porridge with berry compote and great omelettes with free range eggs. Accommodation is spotless and has everything you need, we stayed in the resort area which was great with young children as we were close to the pool and restaurant. We will definitely be back we've loved every minute!

Good morning,
Thank you, you are most kind.

What a great forum post to share with everyone here at the resort.

We also proudly host Slow Food Noosa every month; Slow Food Noosa is an organisation promoting the mantra uniting the pleasure of food with responsibility, sustainability and harmony with nature. Our breakfast chef Penny’s Quinoa porridge with berry compote is one of her ever changing options to add a little something special to the daily expectations of a resort buffet breakfast.

Thank you too for the nod to staff; I am so very fortunate to work with these amazing individuals every day. It is rewarding to received such wonderful feedback and I do enjoy sharing via our internal communications.

Glad you loved every minute and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I would like to start with the negatives because sadly they out weigh the positives. We booked a 3 bedroom apartment with view, on arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a villa with no view right at the top. A long way up the hill at that.
Our view was the trees, peaceful but the rooms are very gloomy with very dim lighting. Its a big resort and would be nice if the reception staff actually showed you around rather than just giving you a map and sending you on your way.
The bedrooms~ 3 downstairs but only 2 bathrooms. Our ensuite and one other bathroom. As we had 2 older girls and 2 teenage boys the boys had to go upstairs to shower. Very bad layout, for some reason the laundry is downstairs and the 3rd bathroom is upstairs with the living area.
Also the bedrooms have no mirrors at all, whats with that?
The lighting thru all the rooms is very dim.
Our room was dirty on arrival, cigarette lighter from previous guests and hairy brush found in second bedroom. Also sound travelling is a a problem the back bedroom is noisy and you can hear the neibours. The whole resort looks like a jail, I expected to hear a siren to let us know when it was time for inmates to have their time in the exercise yard.
Now upstairs, we relocated all the china to a more practical place in the kitchen as they had it in the most ridiculous spot . There were 6 of us and only 6 glasses excluding wine or champagne glasses. Not the best equipped kitchen.
By our being upgraded to a villa we were privileged enough to be able to have private access to the brooks pool. Only problem is its no where near our villas so wasn't much good to us. There was also a terrible sewerage smell on entering the steps of the pool.
But here is my biggest gripe all the pools were freezing. And no one was swimming in them bcos of this, particulary cold was the lap pool. This I decided i would complain about, i was told maintanennce would fix it, we are leaving today and i complained 2 days ago, the pools are still too cold to swim in. Very dissapointing for me as I am a lap swimmer and was looking forward to that part of my trip. I'm guessing the resort cannot afford to pay to heat the pools in cooler months. They promised it would be rectified but they were just blowing us off. I doubt they ever heat the pools.
Some positives. Food at the View , very good.
I liked the walk to hasting st, only used the shuttle twice, I enjoy a walk.
We as a family have been coming to Noosa for 23 years now. Mostly we stay right on the beach at Hastings st in either Sea haven or Tingiara. I don't think we would stay here again.

Room Tip: don't go here

Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts on this forum. It is most unfortunate to read we appear to have fallen so short of your expatiations. Whilst certainly not located right on the beach on Hastings Street like the Tingiara and newly refurbished Sea Haven, it is the tree house like design in amongst the Noosa National Park and distance from Hastings Street that has become a predominant point of difference in our guest’s decision to return. Your comments certainly respected and it is disappointing to hear you are unlikely to return.

We do have another accommodation category, the Beach Villas and the Grande Villa, that are closer to Hastings Street and have uninterrupted views out over Noosa and Laguna Bay that may better suit your family requirements in the future. We are also reviewing the controls on pool temperatures between the summer and winter seasons to better respond. Should the opportunity present, I would most welcome direct correspondence to discuss availability with you at that time. More so, I trust the experience you have had with us does not deter you and your family returning to Noosa.

Regards
Niel Mason

This was our first trip to Noosa and it won't be our last! The excitement started as we drove down the driveway and felt like we were entering a private wonderland. We arrived before check in time after driving up from Sydney and were pleasantly surprised to have our room ready. We stayed in a tree top villa and would highly recommend. It was spacious, modern and very well maintained. I cannot fault the service we got from all staff at the resort and will definitely be returning.

What a wonderful establishment. Great rooms - pay the bit extra for the national park view (over resort view). Peaceful, relaxing. Amazing friendly service from staff particularly reception, breaky restaurant, housekeeping and concierge. Nothing too much trouble - a pleasure to receive consistent good service all trip. Very welcoming to families and the room facilities are just right. Enough in the small kitchen to cook in room or order from the great room service menu. Small walk to Hastings Street - if walking is not for you - you may not like this - but we loved it.
