“Great Mid-Winter Getaway!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

What a fantastic resort! Probably one of the flashest places we have stayed. Great staff, who knew you by name and were friendly and helpful in all aspects. Amazing room service (food). Yum Yum! It is up the hill but it is not too bad a walk and they have a buggy service (although only good if you have a cell phone) - they need to put a courtesy phone at the bottom. Had a washing machine and dryer which was a nice surprise and very clean rooms. Only complaint would be that the beds are hard. Ouch -not a great sleep. Beautiful grounds, great pool and everything you need. Thanks for a great week!

Mid-winter and great pool – we enjoy welcoming in our New Zealand visitors but we can’t get our head around folks sitting around poolside at this time of year. At 21 degrees, its warmer in the water than out. But then, cocktails poolside always puts the world in perspective.

Thanks for putting up with my rambling and, more so, for taking the time to post your review on this forum. It is our pleasure to be your host and great to hear we met with your expectations of service delivery and dining experience. We hope you had a safe trip home, hope you spread the word back home about visiting the Sunshine Coast, and we look forward to welcoming you back next winter.

Sincerely
Niel Mason

Although our stay was only short, we truly loved what the Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort & Spa Noosa had to offer.
Friendly staff, beautiful location and lovely apartment.
The only down side was that the bed was very hard as were the pillows.

On behalf of all of us here at Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort and Spa, thank you for the recognition of friendly staff, beautiful location and lovely apartment. The sentiment Little Piece Of Heaven is lot taken lightly and something we certainly don’t take for granted working in Noosa.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon – perhaps over a week so you can also enjoy the greater Shire experience.

My friend and I wanted a nice relaxing weekend away and we found it! The 1 bedroom apartment was beautifully furnished and very clean. We relaxed on the balcony with our wine and cheese products we purchased from the Eumundi markets that morning and also went for a walk to the lookout to take some memorable photo's of Laguna Bay. Although the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street was only 500m away, it is set in a peaceful and serene part of Noosa. We can't wait to come back!

Good morning,
A pleasure to be your host.
Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your stay in Noosa here on this forum. We certainly look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Thank you for highlighting Eumundi markets as well; it is a destination in itself. Together with Noosa’s Sunday markets and a number of retails to explore (another “must do” when visiting Noosa is Belmondos - Certified Organic Fruit & Veg, Clandestino Coffee Roasters, Wholefoods, Deli,
Tanglewood Organic Sourdough Baker) the food experience adds to any holiday in Noosa.

Sincerely

First time staying at the Outrigger at Noosa and was so impressed with all aspects of the resort. Generally the rooms are so small, despite the photos indicating otherwise, but I was amazed at how spacious the rooms were. The room spa was almost big enough to swim in. I took advantage of room service and the food arrived hot and tasty. Next time I will be taking the whole family.

Room Tip: Get a room with a spa. Its really worth it.

Beyond all expectations
Now there is a challenge to our staff in raising the bar on your next stay with us.

Thank you for such wonderful feedback.

The apartments are generous in size. We are fortunate to also offer the Villa and Penthouse collection at the resort that may well be worth consideration when you do return with family. These extraordinary properties offer expansive living areas complimented with 2, 3 and 4 bedroom design.

Let us know if you would like any further detail of have a look at the photos on our Villa and Penthouse web site.

We spend 4 nights there last week and had a perfect relaxing time. Stayed with my wife and 2 kids (6 and 7). We had a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool and it was perfect for what we were after. Very quiet, relaxing, even warm with the sun in the winter. The gym is great with plenty of room and good equipment, I spent time there every morning. Kids had a ball in the pool especially with the lights at night time, pool was very warm. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms excellent (great spa) and all round great apartment. King size bed in the main room was great and very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Great having the washing machine and dryer in the apartment also. We had room service twice for dinner and it was great food and certainly filled us up, we cooked ourselves 2 nights and the kitchen had everything we needed for a family meal. We had breakfast there every morning and looked forward to this every day, breakfast is amazing and kids loved making their pancakes. Mix of families and couples staying of all ages and everyone seemed very happy. We would certainly stay there again next time we make it up North.

Good morning
Your review very much appreciated – thank you.

Glad to hear you and your family had an enjoyable stay with us here in Noosa. You have certainly discovered some of the best Noosa has to offer with the sunshine and 23 degree days in the middle of winter – best way to deal with NSW school holidays.

We look forward to seeing you again when your travels bring you to the Sunshine Coast.

Thanks again

My 3 friends and I stayed for 2 nights in a 3 bedroom penthouse ($669 per night) with an amazing view of Laguna Bay (room 8602). The room had 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and 2 very small singles) all with their own bathrooms with showers and toilets. The main bedroom had a walk through robe, spa bath and ensuite. The 2 bedrooms with double sized beds had views of Laguna Bay also. We received a complimentary bottle of white wine on arrival in our room. We ordered room service both nights which was reasonably priced and enjoyable - especially with the view! The room definitely has the WOW factor!!

We enjoyed breakfast at resort restaurant both days, that had a typical buffet (hot food as well as fruits, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, bircher) the chef is available to cook your eggs to your liking. The full buffet is $28 per person and in my opinion worth it as it includes coffee/ tea/ juice. We walked to and from Hastings street several times (solid walk up hill!!) and also enjoyed the complimentary buggy a few times also. Great location so close to Hastings Street!!

We absolutely loved the private pool where we spent many hours relaxing and enjoying the amazing view of the Noosa National Park and Laguna Bay.

We were very disappointed to receive a phone call from reception at 4pm on the first day of our holiday asking us to turn our music down. The music was at a level that we could have a conversation while listening. The compendium states that noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. My second gripe is about house keeping leaving our door open after they had serviced our room on day 2 of our stay. I immediately called reception to let them know and was told they would call housekeeping to let them know. My companions and I were pretty upset as we had left all of our possessions in the room including wallets/ phones/ iPad and received no apology.

We really wanted to visit Stephanie's Spa while we were at the resort, but found the price list to be exorbitant with a spa pedicure including a paraffin wax (Sole therapy) for $155.

The hotel takes a deposit of $500 when you check in from your credit card for incidental damages. We did note that there were a few stains on the carpet, in bathrooms and on the kitchen floor (not that any of that worried us, we were just wondering why such a large fee is taken from your card for 'just in case'). Lots of young staff working here, some of the breakfast staff could be a little more attentive and friendlier! We really liked Stephanie on reception who was always pleasant and happy to answer all our questions and took us in the buggy down to Hastings Street.

I will definitely come back to Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort. I love that it is so close to Hastings Street, but you feel like you are in a remote rainforest location surrounded by trees and birds.

Room Tip: Our 3 bedroom penthouse (#8602) had views of Laguna Bay and the national park. Keep the noise to a w...

Good morning

Thank you for the wonderful review on this forum.

I trust the matters regarding noise and funds were adequately addressed by our team during your stay; I would certainly welcome and further query direct to my attention should any concern remain outstanding.

We look forward to welcoming you back. The Villa and Penthouse collection have been so well received over the last 12 months that on our followup with guest feedback we are about to launch all inclusive packages. Either contact our reservations team directly or keep track on facebook for these great offers.

Thanks again and look forward to seing you back in Noosa again soon.

We spent 7 nights in a national park view room that was very peaceful and quiet. Our room was a one bedroom apartment with a very comfortable king size bed, the kitchen contained all the necessary utensils as well as a dishwasher, a laundry with washing machine and dryer. We spent quite a bit of time bush walking in the nearby National Park, relaxing on the gorgeous beach and wandering Hastings St so returning to our little oasis at the Outrigger Resort each day was fantastic. The resort is a comfortable walk to Hastings St, but on a couple of occasions we used the 'buggy' service which was very efficient. We also enjoyed breakfast each day at View restaurant which serves breakfast until 11am enabling guests that extra sleep in. Thank you to all staff we came into contact with, they were extremely efficient and could not do enough to assist us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our return.

Room Tip: Choose a national park view room which is very peaceful

Hello and thank you

Your review on this forum is appreciated. Pleased to read you enjoyed your time here in Noosa and are already planning a return.

Starting with the Noosa Long Weekend (18 to 27 July) and then the Noosa Jazz festival there are many festivals and events coming up this year that would certainly provide enough of a justification (if just being here wasn’t all that was needed).

Look forward to welcoming you in again soon.
