“A slice of paradise in Noosa”
Reviewed 3 March 2011

I cannot rate this gem in Noosa Heads enough. The resort itself is surrounded by the stunning Noosa National Park and perfectly combines beauty and tranquillity with luxury. The room I stayed in at the resort was one of the largest and well-appointed I've ever stayed in. It was fully equipped with everything I could have expected from a hotel room and more - because this wasn't just your average hotel room, it was a fully-furnished and stocked apartment. It had a kitchen with appliances including toaster, microwave, dishwasher, stovetop and fridge, as well as crockery and cutlery, plus entertainment goodies like an iPod dock and DVD player if you just feel like eating in and chilling out in your room once the action has died down on Hastings Street, just like I did. My balcony was also a pleasant surprise. It was very large, had a sunbed and table and chairs and overlooked the picturesque greenery of the Noosa National Park. It was the perfect place to lie or sit with a glass of wine and unwind after a day of exploration. All you could hear from it were the sounds of the birds chirping in the morning and the crickets at night. Bliss! The pool area was also fantastic, and boasted another gorgeous view of the National Park in the background as well as very comfortable sunbeds. I had a massage at Stephanie's Spa while I was there too which is simply unmissable if you're after a relaxing holiday. The ladies there were absolutely lovely and very attentive, and the massage was one of the best I've ever had. The resort also has a games room with an air hockey table, which I thought was absolutely brilliant! But apart from the resort's luxury, convenience (it's only a 5-minute walk or a complimentary golf buggy ride to Hastings Street) and scenery, the staff were one of its greatest assets. They were all so genuinely friendly and helpful, and even having only been a guest at their resort for two nights, I felt like they were already friends by the end of my stay. I highly recommend this resort for anyone planning a holiday in Noosa who is looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, convenient and friendly to stay in.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff went out of their way to make us feel more than just a guest. Within no time everyone knew our names and that we were on our ten year anniversary. The Outrigger sits just above Hastings street which was the only other place we needed to venture. At the bottom of our accomodation were lots of different cafe's, bars, night spots, restaurants and a path that ran along a gorgeous beach. We had everything in such close proximety that we didn't have to think about what and when to eat or driving anywhere. Often we would start both our mornings and evenings by having a drink at the Outriggers bar. Or as we did on Saturday we spent the entire day relaxing by the pool enjoying the delicious drinks and food that were delievered to our sun chairs. The atmosphere of the Outrigger reflexs what Noosa seems to be about. A very relaxed and comfortable place with a touch of class. We felt very relaxed and at ease the entire time. As much as our kids would have had a blast with the pool, ocean and lots of paths for bikes and scooters we are going to choose to keep it to ourselves. A little selfish but if you are looking for somewhere to reconnect and fall in love again then look no further than the Outrigger in Noosa. Thanks to Dan, Adam, Michelle, Pool Staff and all the other staff who went out there way to make our anniversary more than just a trip away but an unforgettable experience.

We stayed at the Outrigger LIttle Hastings Street for 3 nights and loved it! As my husband was studying in the room for most of the time we really appreciated our lovely quiet room overlooking the national park.

We arrived very late on Friday night with an easy check-in and welcome bottle of wine which was a nice start for our weekend.

Things we liked: being able to walk down to Hastings Street in about 5 minutes, the massages at Stephanies (thanks Laurence!), the lap pool, clean modern rooms with lots of space, well-equipped kitchenette, the breezes on the hill (Hastings Street is SO HOT in comparison), the option of the buggies (even though we didn't use them), the airconditioning automatically goes off/on when you open close the large sliding doors to the balcony (very cool), undercover parking with no worries about car spaces, lifts, comfortable lounge on the deck, in-room laundry, in room spa bath.

People have mentioned difficulties finding the access/exit driveways for the different times but we found it REALLY easy - instructions on the website are great.

Only suggestion would be making the wi-fi free - it is in a lot of places & I guess we're just used to not having to pay for it these days. Also, TV reception was a little dodgy but we only watched TV for about an hour the whole weekend so wasn't a big deal.

We will definately stay here again next time we're in Noosa!
Thanks Alex - great place!

Dear KathryS_7,

Thank you for your review on your recent stay and I'm delighted to hear that the resort provided the right environment for your Husband to study. Certainly, the 1 Bedroom Suites overlooking the Noosa National Park would have been ideal, hence your request to have a quiet room.

We wish your Husband all the success with the forthcoming exam and look forward to welcoming you both back to Noosa to celebrate the results.

Kindest regards,

Alex Chapman, General Manager

My wife, son (6 months), daughter (3 years) and myself stayed at this new hotel for 6 nights. We stayed in a 2 bedroom serviced apartment and paid a very reasonable 250 AUD a night..
The apartment was very new and modern, with luxurious fittings one would expect from a 5 star establishment. The thing that struck us was that the living areas where quite spacious, which is a luxury when you have two young children. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms simply stunning. In particular, the shower in the en suite had a massive shower head with fantastic pressure. All up we loved the apartments. They were clean and contemporary, with all the mod cons required to make a stay great.
The resort facilities were excellent. The lagoon pool was a hit with all of us, especially my daughter and my wife and I made regular use of the lap pool and gym. I am a little worried that both pools would get crowded when the hotel is at capacity as they are not very big. One morning, two other people jumped in the lap pool with me and it was pretty tight. Luckily we could all swim straight!
The buggy down to Hastings St was awesome. It was very prompt and all the drivers were very friendly. We never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. Again, I do worry about how prompt the service would be in peak times, but for us, it was fantastic. If the resort ever canceled this service, I think it would be in big trouble.
We ate at the restaurant once for breakfast. We arrived at 0900 and it appeared the staff were just tidying up. It cost about $25 for a so so buffet. The range wasn't great and the staff were not very attentive (we had to clear and set our own table!). I think the best thing to do would be to go to Hastings St (Bistro C - awesome), Sunshine Beach (Costas - great coffee and brownies) or self cater (the kitchens are very well equipped). A BBQ area within the resort would be a great addition.
Overall it was an excellent stay. The resort is very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful and facilities everything you would expect of a 5 star resort.

Dear YG500,

I was delighted and enjoyed reading your detailed review on your recent stay and thank you for the positive comments. Rest assured, we will never cancel the golf buggy transfers to Hastings Street as this was an initiative we introduced based on guest feedback. During the peak periods, we run a fixed schedule (like every 15 minutes we did last Christmas & New Year season) with a dedicated Concierge team member.

We look forward to welcoming you and the family back to Noosa and again, thank you for your feedback.

Stayed at this hotel for a night only and wish we did more nights. Check in was fast and had a cold bottle of wine upon arrival. The wine wasn't my favorite but it was very good on the hot day we arrived. I was very surprised when I saw the room, it has a spacious room with full kitchen (stove, microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle, cutleries, dishwasher, fridge), a very clean bathroom with double shower (wish we had bath), comfortable lounge room with a big flat screen tv and a comfy king bed complete with a small flat screen tv on the wall, walk in robe, safe deposit box and nine pillows. Plus a washing machine and dryer.

This hotel is located on the corner of Hastings street. It's only a few minutes walking to the beach and restaurants. If you want some quiet time at Noosa, this is the best place to go as it's close to the main attraction yet it is not that close to get all the noise. It's also located on a hill so you have really good view of the rain forest and the beach. It's even got its own look out!!

They have two swimming pools but for some reason it was only one that was open during our stay. It was a little but crowded on the pool as they were like 30 people on the pool and were only 15 sun lounger.

They have spa and The View restaurant although we didnt have chance to try it on. You also get $20 voucher for the spa which is very good.

Definitely recommend this hotel and will come back again

Dear Sabrina0183,

Thank you very much for providing your positive feedback for which I enjoyed reading and will share with the entire team here at the Resort.

I will certainly look into why one of the pools was closed as I am unaware of this. There are three pools within the Resort... the main pool located near the gymnasium which is more family orientated, the Lap Pool next to Stephanies Ocean Spa which provides a quiet escape and the elevated Brooke's Pool which is for the exclusive use only for those guests staying in the Deluxe Villas.

We all look forward to welcoming you back to Noosa in the not too distant future.

The resort is a much needed breath of fresh air to noosa accommodation. This is our second trip and were once again delighted with how we felt upon departure. As it's a new resort it most certainly does have it teething problems however it's most certainly worth it. I would say the only thing to worry about are the beds, they are like sleeping on concrete! We had less than average sleeps on both nights however the rest of the stay was exceptional. We loved sipping cocktails at the pool side bar. The variety of menu options at the restaurant is exciting and there are different types of pools to choose from around the resort. Our room was STAR QUALITY! Amazing ocean view, big balcony, amazing spa and beautiful kitchen. The staff are ideal. Overly friendly without being fake! It's pretty much on Hastings Street, the walk down the hill is so pleasant, and gives you an option to look at more of the resort, and then just get the buggy back. The day spa is INTERNATIONAL STANDARD! We've been to many day spas and Stephanie's is most certainly the best.....

Would absolutely return to Outrigger Little Hastings St.

Our stay at outrigger was really lovely. The room was gorgeous and modern and the staff were very friendly and always more then welcome to help. Every single time you passed a staff member they were sure to look up and say hello to you!! So I felt very welcomed. Loved the buggy service! Only complaint would be the hotel is a complete non-smoking resort (including balconies.) So everytime you wanted a cigarette a walk to the 'designated area' was needed which can be an incovienience at 10pm at night... Otherwise- it was beautiful and worth the 5 stars!!!!
