“Good hostel with great facilities”
Reviewed 14 May 2011

I stayed with a friend at Chillout Noosa. The owner Nic was really helpful and knew we were arriving late so arranged to be there to let us in.

The hostel is basically a nice house with 4 room to rent. There is a great lounge room and a fully equip kitchen for use. The house was very clean and there were two bathrooms and a huge deck which was perfect for sitting in the early morning sun.

We were there during the Noosa triathlon and you could literally watch the race from the balcony.

The only drawback is the location as its about a 25 minute walk to the main strip and the beach. Which was fine during the day, but a little bit of a pain at night. However, for the cost of the room its fantastic value ($30 per person when we stayed). There is a small strip of cafes around the corner which is perfect for breakfast. There is also a good thai place down the road.

We are staying there again in June. Recommended hostel.

we stayed for 4 nights in march, after a little bit of confusion when we first arrived as there was no one for us to check in with and no one really seemed to know where it was we stumbled upon a great place to stay. its perfect for couples or for those wanting to chill a little and get some peace and a good nights sleep, noosa is a chill out place and can be expensive.
We stayed across the road in another house, the first night we were the only people there, and had the kitchen living room etc to ourselves. it really was like our own apartment. theres a supermarket about 5mins away and you can get all you need for cooking there and save money that way, no dirty or busy hostel kitchens here.
theres also a tv and dvd palyer with loads of good films to choose from. nick the owner was a really nice and helpful owner, he even dropped us at the bus station and dropped us at the cinema one evening. he also has some great local info of what to do and see.

if your a couple this is the perfect place to stay in beautiful noosa. highly recommend this place!

Really chilled out, clean & is quiet, was more like staying in a friends house... 5 mins to Gympie Terrace, where the river is, or a 25 min walk to the beach/ bus station. there are direct buses into beach or this guest house is connected with a Backpackers in the next block, where you can use their shuttle bus service for free.
Although the house is opp the river, there's not much of a view. Was really nice, as there wasn't too many people & the communal area was very nice to hang out in the evenings. Nic, the owner was brilliant & really helpful & kept the house clean, although the fridge could do with a regular clean, but that's my only critisism!

Cleaned daily and nicely decorated with comfortable beds, a large kitchen/dining area, a balcony that looks over a lake and immaculate bathrooms, Chillout Noosa lives up to its name.

Attracting the more "serious" traveler ( only suited to party animal travelers if they're looking to relax and catch up on sleep) I spent many evenings sat in the lounge with the other guests chatting, eating and watching a dvd or two (provided along with a small but interesting book collection and new and old magazines)

Although this hostel doesn't have internet or a phone line it has an agreement with the hostel five minutes walk away that you can use their pay phone and internet ($4 phr) you also have unlimited use of their complimentary shuttle bus to the transit centre (two minutes from the beach)

Nick the owner pops in daily to clean, tidy and welcome new arrivals he has picked up from the bus station. Nick is yet another selling point to this hostel, never too busy to have a chat and always ready to answer questions and help anyway he can.

The only downside to this hostel is that you can't pick it up and take it home to live in.

(OH and when you leave you are encouraged to leave any unwanted food on the free food shelves! which can result in free alcohol :) woo) x
