“THE BEST XMAS/NYE HOLIDAY EVA!!!”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

we went with a big group of 20 people at the resort and i cant imagine having such an awsome time with the friendly staff and the service we were given for the week we stayed there. complimentry shuttle busses to the main strip was sooo convienent too.
food was divine especially thier buffet breakfast and the bar by the pool made it more relaxing.
we also expeirnced massages of high quality at the day spa. it was sooo relaxing and professional. the rooms were very spacious and had tv plasmas in all rooms. we want to book again thats how good it was sharing this experience.
great for friends and family esp families with children and couples. 5 star for sure!!!!

Room Tip: 3 bedroom apartment, studio apartment for couples or the double story town house

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with the kids, and this apartment gave everybody heaps of room. Modern, three TVs, three bathrooms, two balconies, and a large island kitchen.

The staff helped with logistics. We used the shuttle to Hastings Street frequently, and it was easy and on time. Doing the extra little things to make things easy seems to be part of the staff culture here.

If it about 800m walk to Noosa Junction up the hill, and not too much further the other way to Noosaville.

Games room was okay, with a small pool table, air hockey, table tennis etc. Fun to play around with for the kids, but not the quality you could play a real game on. A shame it had to close during the kids club, which is the time you would most likely want to have a game!

Pool well designed, with an interesting sand beach and infinity edge off into the lily-pads. No spa. The boardwalk was a bit of a waste of time, short and just around the back of the pool. Some other bushwalks are available not far from the resort though.

The tennis court was nice, but a little surprised at the charge $14 an hour for it. Internet is available with a little Wi-Fi dongle in each room - however that was expensive.

The big positives are the space and the staff. Large modern rooms, and staff that go the extra mile.

The couple of negatives are the distance from the surrounding facilities, and that as a resort it feels a couple of activites/features short of a full resort, maybe lacking a little character? You have a fair walk or short drive to any kind of shopping or restaurants outside of the resort.

What a great resort. Modern, clean, friendly staff, excellent pool, great dining ( New Years Eve buffet was wonderfull!) and facilities. Free shuttle bus was a bonus, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay since the minute we arrived at this resort. Thank you for a fantastic New Years, we will hopefully come back again.. we were very very sad to leave!

Oh forgot to mention excellent buffet breakfast :)

We stayed a couple of months ago and couldn't fault the place. Our last stay (Dec 2011) was still really good but they seemed to struggle with their high occupancy just a little. Nothing too major but little things like housekeeping not coming through until after 4pm and the following day when they did come through, the woman was incredibly rushed and quite rude. I also experienced some quite rude service from a gent at reception when I enquired about their courtesy bus which was unusual as their staff at reception all seem really lovely and helpful. On the up-side, their bar is wonderful. We spend a fortune on cocktails every holiday and these were some of the best we've had, especially as they don't scrimp on the alcohol and you actually get what you pay for. The restaurant is also very good and the rooms amazing. We stayed in the 3 bedroom with private plunge pool.

The apartment itself was reasonable. The size was ok for our family of 4.The service was absolutely disgusting. I have stayed in many 4-5 star resorts before and have never been treated so badly with customer service, and their bad attitude towards guests. They were very unhelpful with any requests, they made out it was such an issue when I asked for simple things, and food orders never arrived, we waited 2 hours for a burger and chips & cancelled the order because we never recieved it! They have many excuses, right from check in the service was BAD!!! They tried to put us in a 1 bedroom place when we had booked for a 2 bedroom, couldnt find our reservation and then had to ring management, and it snowballed from there!! The Bar Manager Sophie was very rude, argued with us and was very confrontational and should be dismissed as I have never experienced such appalling customer service. The CANNOT DO ATTITUDE and unwilling to assist guests is incredibly disappointing and I will be reporting this to Peter Chandler, President and Chairman of the Board as disciplinary action is urgently required. I will also ensure I post this comment on all social media sites to ensure other guests do not have to experience the same disgusting customer service as there are better resorts to stay in at Noosa for the money. Overall, I highly recommend you steer clear of this resort based on my 10 days stay, I think I could get better service in a caravan park!!!!!

Just to add, Housekeeping came once in our whole 10 days of stay, and all we got was a towel and sheet change, because they were too busy with a full house to do a proper service!! Not good enough, because this was always their common excuse for everything!!

Room Tip: I highly recommend you select another resort that can provide some customer service. Try Sheraton N...

we got lucky with the apartment and enjoyed a view over the pool and across the wetlands, with some wonderful sunsets to enjoy a couple of beers and a takeaway on the balcony.

quality of the apartment was great, very comfortable one bedroom with excellent king sized bedding and a breezy modern interior ...double sliding doors opened up the living room balcony space.

Room Tip: apartment 81 was close up to the pool with a great aspect

There aren't enough positive words in the English language to properly describe our experience of the RACV Noosa Resort. From the moment we arrived the staff displayed a willingness to help in every way. All the features of our unit were explained thoroughly to us along with details of the kids' club and restaurant/bar facilities. To say this is a gorgeous resort is a serious understatement. Our 3 level unit (4 if you include the secure garage) was divine and included a heated spa on the roof, three generous-sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, powder room, media room, laundry and full kitchen. The outdoor, secure dining area let us eat in the fresh air in privacy. The pool area adjoins the restaurant and bar so poolside drinks were a must. The restaurant and bar pricing was reasonable, particularly for a resort and the food was so good it was tempting to eat there every night. The functional and stylish kitchen was too tempting to avoid and made meal preparation a breeze. A tennis court, bikes for hire and a courtesy bus to the rest of Noosa (why would you need to to elsewhere?) meant we could choose to do as little or as much as we wanted. Honestly, I could keep adding more but the best way to sum up is to encourage everyone to see/feel/taste for themselves. We're already planning our next trip back and we arrived home only a few hours ago.

Room Tip: We were positioned almost opposite reception which meant we were a short stroll to the pool, restaur...
