We spent 1 week at the RACV resort with 2 children aged 6 and 12. The location is very good if you prefer to be out of the crowd. It is a very quick drive to Hastings Street but parking there can be a problem. We prefer quieter areas and used Sunshine Beach to swim and play and Gympie Terrace for shopping and dining. We brought our bikes and it was a great idea: flat ride along the river, easy for children, mostly off the road with just a very short sidewalk ride at the start.
We had a 2BR sanctuary view: the apartments are very large and reasonably well equipped with decent beds and furniture. Kitchen is very big too but with low quality pots and pans and no good knives. This is a shame for those of us who enjoy cooking.
We did not use the pool but it looks nice, but would be a bit small as soon as the resort is half-full. We definitely used the tennis court which is in good condition and has lights. And it is free!!! We booked it for one hour each day! There is also a games room next to reception with table tennis, pool, fusbal, wii and air hockey: all free and a lot of fun.
Our main issue was at breakfast: we had booked a "Love Australia" package that gave us a "2 for 1" breakfast. Every single day of our stay, we had to argue with the staff that "2 for 1" doe not mean " on e free child with full paying adult" (this was the other special on offer at the time). Not a very pleasant way to start the day. We enjoyed the fruits included with the continental breakfast but the choice of breads could be improved. The cooked buffet is not worth it: only scrambled eggs, nothing cooked to order. There is excellent coffee not far on the main road (Little Cove and Organika). Dinner was good at the restaurant but very slow to come even when not busy. Overdone steak we had to return, 15 minutes wait for an plain ice-cream.
The general atmosphere was good with very kind and attentive staff (unlike most hospitality staff in Australia). The resort became very busy at the end of our stay when the Easter weekend started.
Overall, we liked our stay and will return.

We had a lovely weekend at the RACV Noosa Resort. From the moment we walked in the resort we were showered by fabulous and friendly service from everyone, from the reception ladies, ground staff to the waiters and waitresses. The rooms were extremely large and immaculate in presentation.
We were lucky enough to spend the Saturday evening (for a wedding) and for breakfast Sunday morning in the dining room. The food was to die for and the staff made it a pleasurable.
All in all this is a place you must stay. We will be returning.

We arrived late afternoon after a long overnight flight from Phuket, Staff on reception were very welcoming with good explanation of the facilities. Checked into our room to find a chocolate Easter bunny on each of the boys beds, a very nice touch. Three bedroom apartment was well set out with nice views accross into the wetlands, all rooms have air con and ceiling fans, great as we are not fans of too much air con, kitchens are excellent. Housekeepers have to be the nicest we have encountered, very efficient and all seem to be very happy! Had dinner one night in the restaurant, Acuri's I think, menu was small but food was outstanding. We stayed 4 nights which was not nearly enough. Noosa is a regular holiday for us and we usually stay on Hastings street, not anymore.

Dear Brett_may,

Thank you very much for such a great review. Our large 3 bedroom apartments have been a huge hit with all families and I am pleased you enjoyed them. I will also pass on your feedback to our fantastic Reception, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage team - they will be thrilled.

I am pleased we have converted you from your normal Hastings Street accommodation. I often hear from guests that they enjoy going to the iconic Hastings Street and the beautiful Main beach but then prefer to stay at our resort away from the ‘hustle and bustle’ in a more peaceful location.

Thanks again and I hope the family returns again soon.

Just spent a week here with family and acannot recommend the place highly enough.
First up, very reasonable prices, esp. if you are an RACV/RACQ member.
The resort is brand new with high quality fit out and good layout. Apartments are spacious and modern and well-laid out.
The resort facilities are good too, the swimming pool is a highlight but the tennis court is not bad either.
Staff are the best feature - they could not be more helpful and no request is too much trouble. Every request we had they sorted it out (flowers in the room, Australia Zoo trip, cabs, they even gave the kids a ride in one of the giant golf buggies). I have rarely seen this sort of customer service outside of the US.
Basically hard to find any faults, I would say only this - the resort is 2kms out of town so you do need transport or be willing to take the bus. The shuttle bus is fine but it would be good if it ran a bit more frequently, that said cabs are plentiful and cheap so not really a big hassle.

Dear BarnetBlackDog,

Thanks for your kind comments and I also hope you get to return to RACV Noosa Resort again for another visit.

My favourite part of your review was when you mentioned it was staff that was the best feature of the resort. We all try very hard to make sure every guest has a great stay at the resort and your comments will be posted with great pride on our staff room wall for everyone to read.

Just to add to your comments about our pricing for the benefit of others – any member of any auto club in Australia or overseas, such as RACQ, NRMA, RACV, RAA, RACT etc... (there are 8 million in Aust/New Zealand) receive at least 25% per night off our regular accommodation rates. Everyone is welcome at the resort of course – but if you are coming to visit I recommend you join any auto club in your state because you are likely to save more than the cost of the membership on your first nights stay with us.

Regards

Stayed over Easter in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was large and very well maintained. Hastings st is only a $10 cab ride away. Exceptional value. Highly recommended.

Dear Pad00,

It is great that you had a fantastic stay and thanks for the recommendation. Spot on about the cab fare - around $10 (or 2km) to Hasting Street/Main beach or you have the option of our free regular shuttle bus to Hastings Street, Main beach and Noosa Junction shopping precinct.

I hope to welcome you back to RACV Noosa Resort again.
