We found the staff so helpful, the facilities fantastic and the location so peaceful and quiet. Being a few kilometres out of the town meant we were a short drive but still out of the hustle and bustle of night time Noosa.

Thank you for your review. Many guests as you do enjoy our location being far enough away from crowds/noise but close enough to experience Noosa’s beautiful beaches, national parks, rivers and iconic Hastings Street. We stayed here for 2 nights on a recent trip to Noosa and had a wonderful time! We stayed with our 4 children in a 3 bedroom apartment which was very clean, spacious and modern. The apartment was fully self-contained with 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas, full kitchen with oven, stove and DW, laundry area & 4 TVs! We had a lovely large balcony with outdoor setting, that overlooked the pool area and boardwalk.

We found all of the staff to be very helpful, friendly and professional - Daniel in the bar needs a special mention as he was great, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble! We loved the pool area, and the gardens and surrounds were very neat & tidy. The kids enjoyed a few games of tabletennis, pool & airhockey in the games room and we ate dinner in the bar, where the food was great and the environment was relaxed. Even though renovations were taking place at the reception/bar area, this didn't effect our stay.

We had a wonderful time and would definately recommend this resort to other families!

It's fascinating how differently people react to the same venue.
Noosa has to be one of my favourite places in the world but that means Hastings Street for me
I walked along the beach promenade yesterday, visited my favourite shops, restaurants and had a cup of coffee at Berardos - fell in love again as I hadn't been here for 4 months.
Yet I went to a function at Noosa Resort and immediately felt that it wasn't Noosa - others have commented on the eco-tourism, lagoons and wildlife.
Obviously the apartments are large and the staff are proferssional - they did the function extremely well - but the distance from Hastings Street is just too great for me.

Dear RonWamberal,

Thanks very much for your review.

I appreciate your preference to stay on Hastings Street. As you note, for some people the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street is what they are looking for when visiting Noosa, it is a fantastic location. For others, they prefer to stay in a more peaceful, tranquil setting, such as RACV Noosa resort, and use the free shuttle service to travel the 2km to Hastings Street/Main Beach.

I was pleased that you enjoyed the function at RACV Noosa resort and particularly your kind remarks about our staff and quality of accommodation.

Thanks again for your review and I hope you enjoy your next holiday to the magnificent Noosa.

Pros:
- Accommodation options are perfect for couples, families, friends - you name it! We had a 3 bedroom apartment and it was bigger than most houses - perfect for a family with young children and grandparents/friends in tow.
- Friendly staff - second to none! Possibly the best customer service I've seen in Australia. The restaurant staff in particular make an extra effort to entertain young kids while mum and dad finish their coffee - we were most appreciative! Props to Bernard for trying all week long to crack a smile from our 2 year old :)
- Good location if you have a car - only a 5 min drive to beach or shops. They also have a courtesy bus.
- Good location for visiting Australia Zoo, Strawberry Fields etc.

Cons:
- The "Gym" is not a gym. It has two pieces of cardio equipment - both were broken on different days. Some of the weights were missing, and towels not replaced during the week I was there. It really only provides equipment for one person at a time, that's assuming it's in working order.
- They closed the pool the week we were there and only gave us a few weeks notice. Whilst they compensated us, it still put a big dampener on our trip. The pool has a small beach for young kids which would have been great - although Noosa beach is a quiet, safe beach for supervised toddlers anyway.
- There are no activities for young kids on site - the games room is targeted at teenagers, and there is no playground unlike other RACV resorts.
- There is not a lot of privacy in the lower apartments - people can walk right past your windows. Plus we had five doors/exits so if security is an issue as for a second-level apartment.

All in all it rained most of the week we were there and we still had a lot of fun. We'd go back again and take the grandparents/friends with us given the amount of space in the apartments!

Recommendations for the resort owners:
- Get some entertainment for toddlers - particularly on rainy days! Even if it's just providing paint supplies or something on wet days to help parents entertain the kids.
- Fix the gym equipment and make it bigger! There were people coming in and leaving because there was no room for them.
- More staff working the restaurant on long weekends - they couldn't keep up.
- Give Bernard a bonus - he's awesome.

Room Tip: Ask for a second level apartment if you are concerned about privacy or security.

Dear OzKat,

I appreciate you taking the time to write a great review and pleased you enjoyed your stay at RACV Noosa resort.

I often make the same point as you have about the size of our apartments - particularly the 3 bedroom apartments - they are bigger than what guests expect prior to arriving and the extra space is always a welcome surprise. The entire resort team will appreciate your statement as possibly the best customer service in the country. The team work very hard to make sure every guest has a great time and your recognition was very kind.

Thank you for your ideas on improvement. We are looking to get more equipment in the gym, work has commenced to develop more activities to entertain young children, particularly on rainy days and we have reviewed our staffing levels on weekends.

As for your recommendation for Bernard's pay rise, I will see what I can do. Bernard is awesome, with the exception of being a passionate Essendon Bombers football supporter, but I am working on that!

We continue to try and improve everything we do and hope to rise to your challenge of being the best in the country. By the way, I have ordered blue skies and 28 degrees for your next visit to Noosa - you were unlucky with the weather during your stay.

Thanks again.

This is our 2nd visit. RACV resort is really outstanding. We love everything about it, from the wonderful staff to the luxurious accomodation. Away from Hastings St and so peaceful. The lagoons and ponds are a haven for the native wildlife and the birdsong in the morning was heavenly. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and were impressed with the high quality of the food and impeccable service. Breakfast in particular is just delicious!
The Resort Manager has got a great team working here to ensure a relaxing stay.
We highly recommend this resort once again and are already planning our next visit.

From the moment we entered the Resort, we were impressed with its clean, modern lines of white, beige and gun-metal grey. Contemporary eco tourism meets Esher and all highlighted with bursts of magnificent green tropical foliage. RACV is unique in scope, impressive in location, with very distinct, fresh cubic styling.

Nestled amongst gorgeous natural wetlands in the Noosa foothills, is easy to see why the RACQ won the Traveller’s Choice Award (2012). Laid out like a small metropolis, individual blocks of units are bold yet unobtrusive; numbered and alphabetised in groups of smaller satellite ‘hamlets,’ built around the lagoons and natural ponds. It all works beautifully and the effect is striking... The landscaping is still new, but exquisitely thought-out and will, in time, afford travellers majestic tropical palms and thick lush shrubs. What’s there is already teeming with native birds, and you are treated to picturesque ponds, canals and bridges, with a lovely board-walk winding its way around behind the pool through the untouched marshes and scrub. The morning birdsong is magnificent, and the bush tracks equally attractive. Winter travellers fear not, the pool is kept at a lovely 28 degrees and is itself almost a part of the marshlands, with the picturesque Mt Cooroy as the backdrop, making for a cosy, relaxing retreat feel ~ with big 5-star, resort-style luxury and service.

We booked a 1 bed king suite, but were upgraded to a 2 bedroom Sanctuary Apartment, probably due to heavy bookings because of the Noosa Food and Wine Festival on at the same time. To say that the apartment was lavish, spotlessly-clean and the beds ... uber-comfortable, is perhaps an understatement! The apartment had two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a huge lounge room. The unit also featured a small cupboard laundry with dryer, a large balcony and an interesting spiral staircase, leading up to dazzling rooftop views and (some) with your own private hot tub. Simply lovely! All the mod cons of a luxury two bedroom apartment with a large fully appointed kitchen, island bench and dining table to seat ten (but no microwave)?

The RACV is a bit out of town (by about 10 minutes or so), so you will need a car to get there, but it is well worth the drive and easy to find. The rooms are really well insulated and the surroundings absolutely undeveloped and pristine peaceful. I was amazed at how quiet it was at night despite the size and scope of the resort.

The parking is a bit disorganised with a ‘first-in, best dressed’ ethic. Unfortunately by the time we returned from dinner in Noosa, there was nothing left but to park on the ‘road’ outside our block, along with many others who lined the footpaths with their cars, for the same reason. This incurred a notice on windscreens overnight, advising drivers of the car port spaces? I felt this to be a little un-thought-out and unfair, as they were all occupied ... an unusual arrangement, which is perhaps something to be ‘worked out yet?’

Whilst on the subject of parking, most of it is not at your door, and varies in distance from your room. In most cases, you will have to carry your luggage a fair way from your car to your room – especially if you are upstairs – where you will also need to haul it up a flight of stairs ... so bags with wheels and/or smaller bags will be helpful...

Minor inconveniences in an otherwise perfect stay, where the staff are wonderful and friendly and will make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere relaxing and peaceful, and the buffet breakfast (sometimes free to RACQ members) is particularly well laid out - scrumptious and rounded - with really healthy choices and masses of wholesome organic options. The gym is small but adequate for a moderate maintenance workout whilst travelling. I could not recommend it highly enough for your next stay in Noosa for both value and quality, especially if you are a RACQ member, and you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of being in town.

Room Tip: I think they are all spacious and good.

Dear Lilla C,

Thank you very much for what was a tremendous review. Your description of RACV Noosa Resort was that impressive I think you should write our next brochure! It was great to read you had a great stay and I really appreciated you sharing your experience with others.

Thanks for your feedback regarding parking. For the benefit of other readers, there is ample parking at the resort but many guests are unaware we have a large secure, undercover car parking facility in addition to other outdoor spaces so we are increasing internal resort signage to encourage greater use of the underground car park.

I appreciate your recommendation and I hope to welcome you back again some time.

Dear NickYang,

Thank you for your review and our Chefs will be very happy you found their food to be awesome! We are fortunate to have a great team of Chefs. Our Executive Chef, Lee Jeynes, is from Wales and before moving to Noosa worked in the UK cooking for the Royal Family so we are lucky to have him.

I assume you stayed in a one bedroom Suite that does not have a microwave. Just to let you know we also have one bedroom apartments that do have a microwave and Kitchenette should this be of interest if you visit RACV Noosa resort again.

Thanks again and I am pleased you enjoyed your stay.
