We stayed at RACV Noosa Resort for my mum's birthday and it was lovely.

The resort is nice and new and very clean, our apartment was really nice with a huge comfy king size bed.

When it came to mums birthday everyone was so helpful, especially Alicia who was there for the whole party and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was also amazing!!

The only thing I would say is that it is a kid friendly place, which isn't bad but the main pool near reception might be a bit noisy for you, my nephew loved it though!

The resort is also a drive away from Hastings Street but there is a shuttle and the cab ride doesn't cost too much.

I recommend this place if you're looking for nice apartment that also has a good restaurant!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom sanctuary apt in early April with two small creatures. The apt was huge and really lovely. The pools are great and well heated so even when it was windy it was lovely being in the pool. A couple of smallish quibbles:
1. the pillows were extremely large and uncomfortable.
2. the portacot was terrible, we've stayed quite a few places with the small ones and this would rate as the worst portacot ever. We asked housekeeping for another and they very politely obliged but did tell us that they are all the same (and it was). Could prob be easily fixed by small portacot mattresses that covered the lumpy bases. To be fair it was free but I would have brought ours if I'd realised.
3. the playground and indoor play areas are pretty limited and unexciting. We had a mix of weather during our stay and in the non swimming weather, the lack of proximity to Hastings street and the limited play areas became more obvious. The playground is quite small and feels like it was squeezed in as an afterthought
4. you have to go through the main lobby to get to bathrooms from the pool, not ideal with small children
5. there were no non-breakable cups / plates in the apartments. With two small children, these would have been handy.
Other comments:
-the room service and bar / restaurant are good and very reasonably priced which was a pleasant surprise.
- all the staff were helpful and attentive although every time I went to the front desk there was a queue as they seem to be doing front desk and concierge and phone bookings all at once.
- it sounds obvious, but the resort is not really walkable to anything (esp with small children). There is a bus into town every hour but otherwise you need to drive to places.
- the resort is quite spread out and there are no lifts so if there are mobility issues, it would be worth clarifying when you book your room what your needs are.
-Our apt looked over the lagoon and was quite private but it seemed like a number of the apts were less private or had less of a view, would be worth checking at time of booking.

Room Tip: Our room, 52, was on the ground floor, private and had a lovely large undercover outdoor area lookin...

Dear Cat_from_Melbourne,

It is great you had a lovely stay with us and thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback/ideas. In regards to some points you raised:

Pillows: Just recently we have just purchased new pillows and now have 1 king feather and 1 king micro fibre pillow per person (4 on each King bed). We also have another 2 standard size pillows in each bedroom cupboard. We have also other types of pillows available on request. A good night’s sleep is important when on holiday so hopefully we now have all types of pillow preferences covered.

Portacot: we are in the process of replacing our portacots and are always happy to soften up the bases if requested.

Non-breakable crockery: we have just purchased non-breakable plates & cups for all 2 & 3 bedroom apartments.

Thanks again for taking the time to provide some feedback and it is great you had a lovely time with us.

Put simply this is a new clean resort that has the racv moniker behind it. If you want piece and quiet there's probably better places in Noosa that are much better value for money! Like the place we stayed at beforehand... which had character and a real tropical feel, this place is slightly void of that.

Dear Simon D,

I obviously enjoyed your 'good' part of your headline better than the 'over rated'. I was pleased you provided a perfect score for our cleanliness and our rooms and service also rated well.

Your perception of the resort’s ‘character’ is difficult for me to respond to apart from saying we are nestled within a wetlands sanctuary and people often stay with us for our peaceful and tranquil location relative to the hustle and bustle of other options.

I hope you had a nice visit to Noosa.

Wow. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with impeccable service & warm smiling faces. The rooms are lovely, big & clean.. The pool area blew me away! Our 16 month old was in paradise with the toddler pool & play areas! For the adults, we had such a relaxing time lying in the beach/pool (it felt similar to Palazzo Versace, amazing..) and drinking cocktails by the pool. Nice and close to all that beautiful Noosa has to offer. After 3 days here we honestly felt like we'd had 2 weeks holiday, seriously relaxing!! Highly recommend to any young families needing some R&R. Perfect.

We usually stay in the main drag but heard the resort had a great kids pool. Stayed in a 3 bed apt with 4 adults and 3 kids (under 2), so much space! 3 bathrooms, 4 TVs, beautiful comfy beds, nice outlook...you couldn't need anything more. Room service was delicious (even a healthy kids option which you hardly ever see) and not much more than you'd pay in town. The kids pool area is brilliant for all ages and watching them on a deck chair with a mocktail in hand makes for a relaxing day. The shuttle service to town also helps combat the distance...not that you'll have any reason to leave!

Thanks for your recognition of our friendly front office & restaurant staff and also the great 'York' from our Day Spa - arguably gives one of the best massages available in Noosa! Our massive 3 bedroom apartments are perfect for sharing with others and everyone has plenty of space.

I stayed with 5 other adults in a 3 bedroom sanctuary apartment for 1 night in March 2014. The apartment was large, modern, clean and quite luxurious. The kitchen, dining space and two lounge areas ensured the apartment felt spacious. Each bedroom contained a super comfortable queen bed (possibly king). Two of the bedrooms had attached ensuites and the third bedroom had a bathroom right beside it. The bathrooms were spacious, clean and modern. I believe this is a new resort and it shows. The gardens and public spaces are immaculate. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast ($27) too! We will be going back for several nights soon.
