Stayed recently during Christmas here in a Pool View room.

Room was quite oversized, lots of room, very clean, and very cosy. Room had free complimentary wifi - however in saying that, wifi was very basic, mainly for browsing the internet etc. Rooms had a small kitchenette (microwave and your essential plates etc) which i found was extremely handy Pool was okay, however during our stay it was just overcrowded with kids running every where. Pool actually also looked bigger on the website. Still lovely to chill at during the day though :)

Only proper downside to our stay would have been the service. Went to the service desk a few times for directions and help and there was no one standing there? we actually had to get the Valet men outside to call on her walkie talkie (or whatever) to get one of the receptionist ladies out to help us.. we were also charged $30 for valet even though we opted to do self-parking. This was resolved soon though.

Would definitely recommend the Sheraton Noosa for families more so than anything.

Dear Anita S,

Thank you for sharing your recent holiday experiences and I am pleased that overall you had a wonderful stay. We are certainly blessed with our perfect location and are delighted you enjoyed the resort and so many of our facilities and additional room appointments which make for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. It was concerning though to read your impression of our Reception team as you will see from previous reviews, we often receive very positive comments about the staff in all areas of the hotel and it is disappointing that this was not evident on this occasion. As we do spend a considerable amount of time and expense on our staff training, rest assured that I have discussed your experience with our new Front Office Manager as this will be very beneficial for future training and I would like to thank you for bringing this experience to my attention. Once again Anita, thank you for your post and we hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our beautiful resort one day into the future.
Warm regards

Being from Seattle Washington, Australia is one of the most distant destinations there are. We flew from our home city to LA and from there were able to book a non-stop overnight (kinda because of the several hour/extra day time change) flight to Brisbane. From the airport we picked up a rental car and after getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road and an hour drive we arrived at our hotel. The Sheraton was just newly renovated and is located right across the street from a beautiful boardwalk and beach. It is also has direct access to Hasting street that reminds me of our city of kirkiland in the summer with great restaurants, lots of visitors on holiday, and great shops and restaurants.
Another big plus is the national park within walking distance to our resort. It has beautiful views of the ocean, access to beautiful lightly populated swim/sun beaches, and more.
It was not cheap to travel this far or to vacation in australia in general, butvwe think it is well worthnthe extra expense.

This hotel was in desperate need of a refurb and they have done an incredible job. Rooms are very stylishly appointed and the Hastings Street location is hard to beat. The layout of the hotel is a little strange but it's not a huge issue. The pool was great but totally overrun with kids. It would be nice if they cordoned off an adults only area as we were constantly hit by balls and other flying toys whilst in the pool. Staff were friendly but a little too laid back at times. It's great to have a holiday vibe but a little more professionalism is expected at this standard of hotel. Will definitely be back though. Great spot.

Dear marniemac,
Thank you for taking the time to share you recent experience here at the newly renovated resort. As you can imagine considerable planning and effort has combined in 2013 to provide us with arguably the best Resort in mainland Queensland and one we hope, with balanced, positive feedback such as yours to grow to become the best Resort we can. Thank you again for taking time to review the Resort and I look forward to welcoming you back to Noosa in 2014.

We last stayed at the Sheraton just prior to the refurbishment with 3 kids and we enjoyed it then, although agreed it could have done with a bit of an update.

Well...its all done and all nice and fresh again. Its hard to beat Noosa and hard to beat the Hasting Street location of the Sheraton. We had rooms 430 and interconnecting room 432 facing the river.

Rooms extremely large in terms of that typically experienced with hotel rooms. Rooms include a small kitchenette which is very handy with a few kids. Rooms open to balcony looking directly down the river.

Pool area fantastic with new lilo's and day beds. With only real issue (if you could call it that), been the extremely small pool towels.

Only two disappointments. One being that there is no choice than to pay for parking at $20 per night. There is no real option if you drive than to pay for parking. Ive not experienced too many hotels where guests pay for parking.

Second small disappointment, as an SPG Gold member, I usually get (proactively) asked at check-in if ill be wanting to take advantage of the 4:00pm check out. Not at Noosa. If you ask, you are asked to check on the day of departure which in my experience, most can get some sort of late checkout on day of departure if somethings available....so no real acknowledgement of SPG members compared to other Sheratons.

We found all staff very helpful and all good service in all respects.

Overall however, its great spot and a good refurbishment and we had a very relaxing time.

Room Tip: We overlooked the river. Very nice! Had rooms 430 and 432 looking straight down the Noosa River.

Dear Boz80
I’m delighted that you have commented so positively on our newly refurbished rooms and as a loyal Starwood guest, I value the feedback that you have shared. In relation to the parking charge, while parking in Hastings is a premium in general, for our guests staying secure, undercover parking and for 7 nights or more we do offer a discounted rate for our longer stay guests. We also have several packages available at certain times throughout the year which can include a variety of value adds such as breakfast, spa treatments, upgrades and complimentary parking to name but a few. These packages are displayed on the Sheraton branded website. I am sorry that we were not able to offer you the expected SPG benefit of a 4:00pm checkout which is available at most business hotels, however, this benefit is not automatically included in Resorts and is not something we can routinely offer as we find a small Resort like ours at higher occupancies cannot consistently balance the expectation to check-in for our arriving guests with the wish to have a late checkout for those due to depart. I apologize that this difference between City and Resort hotels for the late checkout was not communicated to you in a timely way. Once again Boz80, that you for taking the time out of your busy pre-Christmas schedule to share your holiday experiences and I look forward to welcoming you and your family back again in 2014 to our resort and to beautiful Noosa.

Stayed one night and was quite impressed with new styling of this hotel. Has nice view of ocean and the room was large, airy and very clean. Slight ant problem though.

Staff were friendly enough. Room service food was no too bad and delivered efficiently. Free in room basic wifi.

Spa was lovely, especially facial from Rosie I think her name was. Massage wad not really what I asked for though, so really stress what you want before hand. The relaxation room before and after treatments is lovely with lots of mags to read and fresh fruit and teas.

Great location really close to the beach, shopping and dining precinct of Noosa and right on the river. A nice walk to Noosaville is highly recommended.

This hotel will not disappoint.

My husband and I stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon. After driving 4.5 hours in horrid traffic we were both tired and crabby. From the moment we walked into reception our spirits were lifted, the lady at reception would have to be the nicest I have come across in any hotel, she was genuinly lovely and made us feel better and as though we were on holidays. She even sent us a bottle of bubbles within 10 minutes of check in. We didn't actually check in to the hotel until after 7pm and she arranged dinner for us at the resturant at 8pm. Being 8pm on a Tuesday night i thought that the restaurant would have been dead, but it wasn't, there were still plenty of people in there and OMG the food was amazing!! The waiters were great, they knew their stuff, I didn't even look at the menu, i just ordered what the waiter suggested and was glad i did.

Now back to the hotel.... getting in so late I was worried i wouldn't have been able to take advantage of the amazing pool but it actually opens from 6am to 10pm so I made the most of it. I even got up at 7am the next morning and had the whole thing to myself while my hubby had the gym to himself. The hotel had all the special touches, such as robes and even a welcome message on the TV with my name on it.

The only down side is that we didn't stay long enough. The hotel has a swim up bar which I would have loved to use. We will definitely return though.

Thank you for posting your review after your very special honeymoon stay here – congratulations!
We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and had the opportunity to experience so many of our facilities. I have already shared your complimentary words with all of the team here and the Front Office associates in particular, as I am sure the Guest Service Agent you mentioned will remember you from the interactions they had with you and she will see first-hand how much you appreciated her wonderful service.

Once again – Congratulations on your recent nuptials and thank you for your positive review. We’re delighted you felt like the very special guests you are and look forward to your return (possibly for your wedding anniversary) - the swim up pool bar awaits!

We stopped in here whilst travelling down the coast and found it to be a great place despite its aged appearance.

Its a little 90's themed with carpet and furniture needing to be revamped to really set the Sheraton standard however overall the service and stay was fantastic

Dear Jap P
Thank you for your review of what I see from your review dates was in January this year during the pre-renovation stage. I am pleased to say that all the areas of the hotel you mentioned are now fully refurbished along with a complete repaint of the external façade of the hotel. Since the completion of the renovations, we have been receiving some wonderful and positive feedback on the changes and as you experienced, the warm efficient Sheraton branded service has remained.
I hope that you will have the opportunity to return soon and experience the true luxury of this property in the heart of beautiful Noosa.
Warm regards,
Stephen Ferrigno,
