We both love Indian food so were looking forward to this enormously. Initial impressions were not great, a dirty plate and badly tattered menu. But it's the food you come for, sadly we found it bland and boring. A really excellent naan bread, but the chicken tikka masala was bordering on insipid and the other main dish so unmemorable we can't recall it.

We visited this place purely based on the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, and were not disappointed. My husband is obsessed with Indian food - the hotter the better - and this was his birthday dinner. The initial impression wasn't great, as we were at our table for a good 5 minutes before menus and water were brought out, but everything was uphill from there. The entrees were outstanding - some of the best samosas I've tasted - and the vindaloo was hot enough even for seasoned heat-lovers like my husband. The price was very reasonable and the serves were big so we had some leftover naan and curry to take away. The restaurant is BYO and we weren't charged any corkage- bonus! A tip to the restaurant - your website is broken - put your menu up online and you'll be more popular than ever!

What a feast we had for dinner. The staff was very friendly and the menu was great. They gave us poppadoms and chutneys because we agreed to change our table for a larger group and we thought that was very nice! All the dishes were cooked to perfection and had a fantastic dinner. The set up is great with little candles and fun decorations in the tables. One of our favorites restaurants in Noosa.

Went to Kaali at the bottom end of Hastings street no 2 on a Saturday night and was surprised to see only a few people at tables so I checked Tripadvisor and found good reviews!
The restaurant is BYO but we really enjoyed the flavors of the meal without washing down with alcohol. We had signature Camembert dish crisp and gooey chunks of lightly battered cheese, Kashmiri lamb shanks sooo delicious flavorsome with the exact amount of heat, and fish curry which was equally tasty, the pumpkin naan was nice not oily. Overall the price is average to low for Hastings street and the serves more than adequate. The owner is friendly and if u ask will give u some inside tips on the flavones in the dishes. Go now and enjoy!!

We are a family of five and have experienced quite a few Indian meals over the years, but this one is certainly one of the best that we have ever had. The taste and quality of the food was outstanding added was the outdoor seating, tree lined street all lit up with fairy lights. Make sure you book a table, we saw lots of disappointed people getting turned away.
