First of all I don't like complaining but I strongly beleive that if your paying good money for accommodation the price should match.
All excited we arrived late (1am) from the airport to Noosa Blue Resort. While we were waiting for the security guard to let us in all I could hear was a noisy racket from what was a pool cleaning machine positioned in the middle of the entrance. Ok so the pool does need to be cleaned but maybe when planning the site they could have positioned this huge unit far from the apartments. I hoped that we weren't going to be put up in the first apartment adjacent to this noise. ? Yes we were accommodated in that first building, and no, they couldn't move us to another apartment.
Well at least it wasn't summer so we didn't need to open any windows. Whilst trying to get to sleep the machine noise next door remided us of being in a cheap motel somwhere on a highway with your room backing onto a kitchen air exhaust and with street lights filtering through the blinds. (I'm sure the other penthouses are fine though) just bad luck getting the first one.
When we entered the penthouse the sofa bed wasn't made up for our guest staying with us and there wasn't enough linen. mmmm. We had to call the poor security guard to come back and show us down to the basement to get some more linen, towels etc... 1 hour later we could go to bed.
A couple of nights later the rooftop spa decided to break down on us just as we were all relaxing at the end of the day. Now, what are we paying for when we book a penthouse.? Ocean view / roof top spa are the main features but no, not that night.
They didn't even offer a discount or anything (what you see is what you get once you pay that money)
On a positive note though, the pool is great and I liked the timber shutters on the buildings. This gave the apartments an airy feel. The plants surrounding the pool are just like the photos on the website. When you are on your tippy toes you can just see a glimpse of the ocean from the rooftop penthouse.
If I ever go back some time, I know to make sure that we won't be staying in room 401. Please they need to employ an onsite manager and gate off the entrance. Service is poor.
