“Centre of Noosa Heads”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 November 2013

Well after holidaying in Noosa each year for the past 23, I feel well credentialed to give my opinion of this iconic street.

While very pleasant early in the morning it becomes quite congested most other times. The upgrade a few years ago looks a bit tried again but the real pitty is the empty shops that have appeared over the last 5 - 10 years.

Still it is great for a stroll and as long as you avoid the higher priced venues it is OK.

For a drink and good food hit the Surf Club. Fantastic views but try to avoid peak eating hours. No place better for a "sunset" drink and nibbles.

Across the road is a real favourite of ours, Cafe Le Monde. Had a big makeover last year and has regained its trendy look and feel. Great for breakfast after an early morning swim.

Another tip, in the colder months, is to eat early as after 9pm there is not much going on. Not a problem really as no daylight savings operates. People from the South have to adjust slightly!

Overall, great to visit but real shopping bargains don't exist. Don't be taken in by the SALE signs: they are there 365 days a year!

“Great atmosphere at night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2013

Love Noosa and love Hasting Street especially at night when it is all lit up with fairy lights. Very romantic. Hasting street is very busy with cafés and little boutique shops all along the strip on either side. Very touristy and a little overpriced but if your on holidays staying on Hasting Street it really is all part of that holiday atmosphere in a beach location. Great spot will be coming back.

“Bright and busy but leave the car at home”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013

Impossible to park and tricky to get a seat at a waterfront cafe but a good mix of summery fashion, local art, great swimwear stores and gelato to die for (Mossimo), Hastings street with its beach front location is the best located "high" street shopping in Australia. Try parking up at the Reef hotel and walking down or up at the National park . Walk out to First Point for best sunset picnic spot.

“Shopping & Eating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Shopping is always a pleasure here as 1,we have the time to shop, & 2,there are lots of items to purchase that meet our requirements.
Lots of cafes & restuarants resolve our food intake requirements & sitting outside the Hyatt in the middle of Hastings Street watching the world go by is always very stimulating as we share a cup of tea & a nice cake.
As we come up most years for a few days,it is interesting to see the constant changes in shops ,cafes & buildings & the fireworks on a Friday night are excellent.
The streets were full of people having a lovely time are we were.
We recommend a holiday here for anyone as it is exciting & coupled with a nice sandy beach is hard to ignore.
Plus it is not overly expensive & everyone speaks English.
