Stayed at the Dolphins Beach House for one night with a friend when travelling to Noosa. Price seemed very reasonable - $40 per person, for a twin room and shared bathroom. Male staff member was very helpful and friendly on check in. However, when we got to our 'room' (more like a wooden cabin), there was only a double bed, even though we had requested a twin, not a double. Fortunately there was a pull out chair bed which meant there were two beds, but you couldn't open the cabin door to get outside when the chair bed was pulled out (highly annoying). Premises and shared areas were very clean which was good. Bathroom was really strange and a let down. There was a HUGE glass window (lovely if you like natural light), however there was NO shower curtain, no window blind, and people could quite easily have walked down the side of the bathroom for front row seats. It meant the bathroom experience was not an enjoyable one, and showering pretty much not an option.
That said, the room did have a ceiling fan and air conditioning, with a tv which was great. Shared areas were chilled and relaxed, and the location was ideal for getting to Sunset Beach. I'd recommend this if you want a few nights in Noosa.

Room Tip: Well, you can request a twin instead of double (and vice versa) but clearly no guarantee you'll...

Stayed here for one night on way up the east coast the shuttle bus and area outsides is fine. Bedrooms are pretty cramped, basic but ok. The bathroom really let the place down very dirty and way too basic for what you're paying .. One bathroom for 10 people. The guys on the desk are lovely the girl was completely rude and unhelpful

The rooms are not too big, but pretty comfi :-) the kitchen and bathrooms in each unit are clean and the staff is very helpful und friendly. Big backpacker bonus: they have free wifi. And it's the cheapest backpackers I've stayed in.
They offer shuttles to the junction and the main beach several times a day.
They have pizza nights (self made), nights out, other activities and you can hire surf and body boards.

Great small chilled hostel, just what I needed after a hectic Fraser island tour! Hammocks, bean bags and comfy seats fill the courtyard where everyone chills in the sunshine and in the evenings. Chris is really helpful and tells you good places to go or books you in for activities. Only 5 min walk to sunshine beach. Only slight downside is that it isn't too close to the main town and main beach but this isn't a problem if you're not concerned about being right in the party during your stay. The hostel put on a free shuttle bus if you do need to get in. Great free WiFi, table tennis, pool table, small swimming pool and books :) All in all would highly recommend!

The atmosphere of this backpacker is "relaxing time", and it's very enjoyable ! Quiet time after 10pm, for an easy and better sleep for the hostel and the neighbourhood. The rooms are like appartments rooms, with a small common kitchen but big enough for two rooms. Living room with TV in every "appartment". Always clean ustensils and plate/cutlery. The bathroom and kichen are well cleaned every day.
Near to the Sunshine Beach, and free boards hire is enjoyable.
The pink color on the wall make you want to see life in pink ! ;)

Me and three other friends checked into Dolphins beach house for 5 nights, it was probably one of the best hostels we have ever staid in. It is in close walking distance to the beach and a few local amenities, as it's set in a residential area there are strict rules to keep the noise down after 10pm, it's perfect for those looking for a relaxing break rather than a rowdy clubbing holiday. The rooms share good sized living areas with kitchenette and an oven! It's a great place to make yourself at home as it has most facilities you could really ask for including regular pick ups from town. Well worth the money!
