“Great resort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2011

This larger resort for Noosa, not that you would know, is well placed with plenty of facilities - BBQ's on the waters' edge and within the complex providing plenty of room for out of room dining and entertaining, and the pools with a 1/2 size tennis court - but the outlook and extended proximity to the estuary river is simply a bonus. Opposite the Coast Guard on a branch leading inland there are plenty of swimming or canoeing options. The water does get deep quickly but minimal current. Even saw a nice sized Trevally caught from a resident trying his luck off the beach no doubt destined for the BBQ alongside.
The room I had was very spacious being a loft style so having an additional balcony upstairs which was reasonably sized. The bed upstairs in a large room with a lounger and dressing area had an average quality bed on rollers. I also just wonder why, when there are notices about water conservation prominent, that the largest spa bath around exists in the en suite. Casual observation showed that most rooms had views of the waterways.
The reception close at midday on a Sunday and 3 on Saturday making for limited options if you wish to hire canoes or bikes for the day as they have to be back by then. There are other commercial operators to chose from of course but some distance away.
Reception staff were helpful and obliging and the resort was secure with no reason to think it would provide anything but a safe environment.
Only two nights, wish it could have been more.

We go to Noosa quite often and this is the best Location we have found so far. You walk out of the ground floor beachfront apartments onto well maintained lawns and then directly onto a lovely beach. As the beach is on the creek, there are no waves and it is perfect for swimming. There are loungers and tables and chairs with an umbrella to sit and watch the amazing sunsets with a cool drink in hand. The apartment (we stayed in no 19) was nothing special but it was comfortable and had everything we needed. There is a shop and very good restaurants within walking distance and you can even walk to Hasting Street. Overall, a fantastic location!

My girlfriend and i have just come back from Noosa where we went to celebrate her birthday and have a week of relaxation.
We definitely got this. i can fully recommend the Culgoa point beach resort.
Our room faced out to the river. It was peaceful and entertaining watching the action on the river.
Great location, in between hastings st and Gympie terrace, approx 15 mins walk to each.
Facilitites great. Everything clean.

I've stayed here a few times with my boyfriend and his family. It is a beautiful resort, with a lovely pool and spa. Very relaxing and easy-going place to stay. Apartments are situated right on the river so the sunset and view is just beautiful in the late afternoon/night. Rooms/kitchen/bathrooms are great as well. If you have a boat, this is a great place to bring it. I look forward to returning to Culgoa Point!

We stayed in apartment 56, which is a 3 bedroom beachfront apartment (2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms were locked, as we paid for 1 bedroom only). Although the weather didn't help us at all, we loved every minute spent in the resort.
The apartment was clean, comfortable and the views from the bedroom/balcony/living room were very nice. There's a half tennis court, a huge bbq area and the swimming pool are is so cool!
The internet is not so expensive, and although is not the fastest one you will find in Australia, it's still good and can save you in a very bad rainy day (as it happened to us).
It's 15 minutes walking distance from Hastings St and there's a convenience store just around the corner.
Staff was great, very friendly and helpful.

We definitely recommend the resort and will stay again when returning to Noosa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Culgoa. We had a ground floor apartment on the Canal and it was perfect. The Resort is a good central point to everything, and there is so much to do and see. The facilities are great and well maintained - BBQ's are available and always clean. Swimming pool is beautiful. Our only regret was that the spa pool is locked up at 8pm, which is a bit early for adults. other than that we had a perfect stay and will definitely look at a return visit.
