We had an upstairs apartment looking out on the marina and the view was lovely & very peaceful. Families staying made the most of the pool even though the weather was cool & damp the water was still warm. Our apartment was comfortably furnished with leather lounges and a big dining table if we had needed it. The bed could have been bigger but it was still comfortable.
We ate out a Noosaville each night which was a bit further than Hastings Street but much quieter.

We had a ground floor apartment on the River. It was very peaceful - great to unwind. View was superb - sunset amazing. A flat 20 minute walk to Hastings St or to Noosaville (the place to dine). Apartment tastefully decorated and very comfortable and located right on River beachfront. A great place to stay if you just need to relax!

We stayed at culgoa point in June 2007. We got a first floor unit. For a start it was the only one without air conditioning (i.e. both units above and below had air con and the ones next to us). The unit was old and had not been renovated for many years. The only newish thing about the unit was a new fridge.

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday but the unit above us had some 16 year olds (who we found out was the son of the owner) and they decided to have a party with loud music and partying until 3am in the morning. We called security many times but even they could not stop them.

The time before this we also stayed at Culgoa and had a marina facing unit and unfortunately it was noisy aswell because of teenagers in the park opposite every night.

The location is perfert but some the units are old and seem to attract teenagers.

We ended up going across the river to Noosa Pacific and had a beautiful unit and perfert experience for the SAME PRICE.

I hope other people have better luck at Culgoa.

we have stayed here twice now when in town visiting family. We always try and get ground floor apartments or at least those looking over the river as its lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. Our kids love staying here as the grounds are huge, they can swim safely and they can walk to the 7 to 7 store on the corner. Restaurants are within a 2 min walk to the Wharf or a less than 5 min drive to Hastings St or Noosaville and the great restaurants along the river. This is one of the older resorts in Noosa but seems to have been nicely renovated in recent times. After many years of staying in Hastings st we got sick and tired of the noise and its 'scene' and now we really enjoy the laid back atmosphere of this place and other resorts along the river.

This place was great. Like many self catering apartments in Noosa you are at the mercy of the owners of each particular apartment in terms of decor and what they provide. Calgoa Point as a resort was excellent in terms of the pool and the location. Right on the river (which is fine to swim in) and has its own beach. Our apartment was clean, had all we needed and overall it suited us with two young kids. It is central to Noosa although we did have a car which we used to get around. It is a walk from all the main resturants in Noosa or Noosaville BUT those that are closer do not have the location - no packing the car to go to the beach!. NOTE: an Aust. family next to us have been coming there for the last 7 years (having tried a number of other places in Noosa). Would rate highly when comparing to other self catering apartment complexes. PS. Negotiate with them the use of the kayaks etc as there are so many places you could hire them from.

Stayed at Culgoa Beach Resort in March this year just after the Cyclone hit our original destination in far north queensland. We were pleasantly surprised how lovely it was here. We stayed only for 3 nights and it was well worth it. The resort is only a 5 minute drive to Hastings Street and beach. Each apartment is individually decorated and owned. We had the choice of ground floor on beach or 1st floor or again 1st floor by the marina. We opted for the ground floor by the beach. (the 1st floor is the top floor). The best choice as you can just open your patio doors and 2 metres in front of you is the beach! Its safe to swim here. You can hire some small motor boats and drive yourself around to Hastings or just explore the inlets. Its not at all rough here as the resort is within the inlets around Noosa Heads, so you are well protected from too much wind and bad weather. At night its beautiful as across the water there are other small resorts and all the waterfront is lit up with all the lights. Its also lovely and peaceful. The reception which incidentally closes at 5pm EVERY night were quite helpful. If you need a taxi there are companies listed within the apartments along with over 20 choices of take-aways from nearby restaurants. We found a fabulous restaurant on Hastings Beach on our first evening and the cab arrived within 5 minutes. Wouldn't recommend walking the distance when very hot.
All apartments vary but all have the same mod cons in the kitchen, bathroom etc. all have TV and dvd/video etc and are all beautifully decorated and enormous! We had a one bedroom apartment which was almost too large for us!! We wished we could have stayed longer. We would definately stay here again.
