“Fantastic absolute riverfront!”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

Thanks Mel & Jo for a fantastic weekend, this is our second stay with you and we'll definitely return. The grounds were immaculate as always and everyone (including the ladies who keep the rooms sparkling) were friendly and helpful.

We recommend the ground floor river front apartments, then it's only a hop skip and jump to the sandy beachfront - literally 5 metres from your private balcony.

Room Tip: Ground floor river front are our personal favourite!

This resort is more like a vacation rental since individuals own the units. We had a one bedroom, one small bath garden view that supposedly looked over the lagoon... not possible... actually overlooks the part of the road out front that constantly seems to have garbage pails awaiting pickup. The cleaner they used left a lingering, rather unpleasant smell that I thought was significant but didn't bother my wife.

The kitchen was well equipped, although we didn't cook any meals there. It is close to a small number of overpriced and one properly priced restaurant, and there's a bottle shop nearby. If you don't mind a bit of a walk (less than a mile), you can quickly get to the Hastings Street prime street for Noosa Heads or for a bit more than a mile, to Gympie Terrace of Noosaville for a great selection of all types of restaurants.

The bed was the worst part of our unit... well, that and the poor HVAC system. There was one split system in the living room, so the bedroom had to get the cool air via circulation... not very effective. The "king bed" was actually a pair of twin beds pushed together with a significantly noticeable barrier between the two (i.e. it was hard and uncomfortable) and the mattresses themselves may well be the hardest mattresses I have ever slept on... I actually had sore hips when I laid on my side for any length of time.

The resort itself has a nice pool, although forget about using the spa with all the kids using it. One small problem is the limited number of seats being "saved" by the people who throw a couple of personal items over chairs and then disappear for hours. I also don't get management limiting the hours in the tennis courts and the pool... they aren't there at all during the day, so why would they care if people use these facilities any time of day.

The location on the Noosa River is very nice, and they have a nice beach as well as a good grassy area for the sun bathers. They are very close to the ferry dock, and they do rent kayaks and paddle boards.

I don't know whether or not to recommend this place because if all the units have the poor HVAC "architecture" and beds, I'd say stay away. On the other hand, if it's just because the owners of the unit we were in are really, really cheap, then it could be better. Based on other reviews, I'd say the cleaning agents they use are a common problem, and management needs to pay attention to this.

Room Tip: Spend the extra money on a water view. I was very jealous.

Been to Noosa many times and first time at this resort; couldn't recommend it highly enough. Both overlooking and with easy access to Noosa Sound, pretty much equidistant to Hastings Street, Noosa Beach and Noosaville; it's simply idyllic.

The standard of our one bedroom is very high indeed, cool and modern, I would say boutique style quality; really high specification with all required home comforts utilities.

Last night I swam in Noosa Sound with the silhouette of the mountains against the sunset and the min and stars in the sky; sublime! Then went for another swim in the Resort's gorgeous pool. Heaven!

Now signing off as it's 0600 and off for my morning swim and kayak which you can hire here.

Room Tip: Front facing on the Sound are wonderful with fantastic views overlooking Noosa River, however, we ch...

Great waterfront apartment right on the Noosa River.
Just bring your own beach towels.
Coffee shop, Bottle shop and great Restaurants all within walking distance.
Hasting St just 20min flat stroll in.

Room Tip: Rooms were a bit light so you tended to wake very early

I booked this resort from the UK after reading such good reviews on Tripadvisor. Have to say it lived up to expectation and more. We had two apartments with balconies (one for my brother and his wife and one for us) overlooking the Noosa river with direct access to a beach for a swim. The resort has its own swimming pool and within walking distance are several places to eat, a shop and a drinks store. Mel at the front desk was so helpful, the apartments spotless with everything one could want. We had a top floor apartment and my brother a second floor apartment which gave us a lot of privacy. Equally the ones on the ground level for kids are super as it immediately comes out on to the grass then the sand.

Great location for walking into Hastings Street (took about 20 mins) or otherwise there is a river ferry point just at Quamby Place (where the shop and restaurants are).

We have all said it could not be in a better position and will definitely return thanks for a super stay.

Room Tip: If there are just two of you have an upper apartment, families are better off on the ground level an...

Have been going to noosa for nearly 20 years so i am a little bit biased. Noosa harbour is a great set up, highly recomend a river view apartment, which will get you awesome views of the river. I have stayed on the ground floor before which is nice because you have immediate beach access but i think the upper floor apartments are more private.

We only had a week available so decided once again to go to Noosa, this time choosing Noosa Harbour Resort. It was a wonderful relaxing week. The Resort is equal walking distance (20 min max) from Hastings Street (the main beach and boutique shops) and Noosaville (lots of cafes and restaurants) on the river. The resort itself is on the river and has a private stretch of river beachfront. They provide anything you need for fun on the water - kayaks, stand up paddle boards etc. We were lucky enough to have a ground floor apartment on the riverfront which meant we stepped out of the apartment onto the grass and sand of the river beach. There is a great pool and a half court tennis court. There are four excellent restaurants and a fish and chip shop within 1 minute walk of the resort, plus a small store and a great coffee shop and a wine store. What more could one ask.

Room Tip: Personally I would choose a river front room but families might prefer garden facing so children hav...
