We live in the US and traveled to Aus for part of our summer holidays. We spent four nights with family at the Noosa Harbour Resort. The apartment we had was on the top floor and north facing with amazing views of the river. The apartment our in-laws had was on the bottom floor with a walk out to the grass and directly onto the beach area. The kids spent all their time on the beach or fishing from the wharf while we were at the resort. All apartments are individually owned and therefore furnished accordingly, both our apartments were very tastefully furnished with everything we needed for our self contained stay. Hastings Street is a short (and flat) walk away and even closer some great restaurants and a corner shop for any last minute shopping needs. Would definitely return to this location again.

So we stayed at Noosa Harbour Resort for a week in early July 2014. Having stayed in some luxury resort apartment complexes previously on Queensland family holidays to places like Port Douglas and the Whitsundays, we were very pleasantly surprised by Noosa Harbour Resort. Out of the expensive hustle and bustle of Hastings Street but no more than a quick 10-15 minute walk, this gem in Quamby Place is right on the riverfront and has all the facilities to go with it's fantastic location and at great room rates. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom north facing riverfront apartment that was clean, modernly furnished and came with an impressively equipped kitchen. Pay TV, air conditioned and a generous living area made the stay super comfy. With the river at our feet, we had access to kayaks, stand up paddle boards along with an immaculate half court tennis court, a large heated pool, spa and sauna and a great communal barbecue area. The staff were sensational, the weather was great and we enjoyed every minute of it. We will definitely be back and will definitely be rebooking. Thanks Noosa Harbour!

We stayed in a first floor riverside apartment for one week. Location is ideal for children as you can easily let them out to play while you stay back and have coffee on the patio, etc. the location is quiet and offers lovely sunsets at night. The management staff were friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of day trips from this area.

Unfortunately this is apparently the time of year when they reclaim sand from the river, and for the duration of our stay there was a boat anchored right in front of our unit pumping sandy water up onto the beach by way of a noisy and smelly diesel engine. Fortunately they only worked during working hours (and not on weekends) so we got the early mornings, evenings, and weekends free. We took more day trips because of this.

The unit we stayed in was nicely and comfortably furnished except for one glaring omission. There are no curtains, only see-through sheers. The side of the units facing the water are themselves all glass window and door, which is fantastic for sunlight and great views, but at night, if you don't have curtains, it's like living in a fishbowl. You can't even go from the bathroom to the bedroom without being exposed. I brought this to the attention of management immediately but was told it is at the discretion of the apartment's owner. I find this unreasonable. Could the owner also elect not to furnish beds, or a toilet? Certain things should be standard, and this is one of them. While it's true that it is a private beach, a quick evening stroll revealed that all other units have curtains which (by the way) the tenants close at night. We remedied this with a trip to Target where we bought two dark colored king sized sheets which we pinned up over the sheers. It helped a lot and allowed us to have a relaxing stay, but this should not be the sort of problem a guest needs to solve.

Despite this, I would stay here again, as it is a very quiet and relaxing place to be. Just be sure to request a unit with curtains. :)

My Wife and I had our second holiday lasting 3 weeks in May.A wonderful experience in first class surroundings. Our first visit last year we had a spacious ground floor apartment and we found this was really excellent and this time we had a similar apartment on the second floor and were even more impressed with the well appointed facilities. The views across the lagoon were outstanding.
This is a very well run Resort with helpful management.

Room Tip: Book well in advance as this a popular Resort.

We stayed here after a work trip to Oz from the Uk with the family. A ground floor two bedroomed apartment was just right for a family of 4. The open plan living/eating/kitchen area was big enough for two teenagers to be able not to be on top of their parents. The location was superb - with views through enormous picture windows onto Noosa Sound which I just kept staring out of the window at. The spec was excellent - there was nothing disappointing about the flat at all, and we loved being able to walk out straight onto the beach. I wouldn't say the water was that inviting for swimming, but the complex has a nice pool, and a very nice jacuzzi, and Noosa Main Beach is good.

It's a 15 minute walk into town, so it's good to have a car if you are staying here, but we managed perfectly well without one, and hired one easily and economically for a day trip to Eumundi Markets (recommended).

We were glad to have had the recommendation from someone who knew the area well and stay here rather than closer to town. It was really peaceful, but travel in and out if you want to spend all your time in bars may not be to your taste (and the water taxi is expensive!).

Stayed 4 nights in a 2 bedroom first floor apartment overlooking the sandy beach. The views across and up the river were fabulous. The sunsets, stunning!. Apartments were modern and spacious with a/c washing facilities and nice kitchen. The resort has a lovely pool, spa and sauna as well as activities such as tennis and canoes for hire. A level 12 minute walk takes you into Hastings Street and Noosa's main beach. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby as well as a ferry stop. The staff are friendly and very helpful in ensuring you have a good stay.

Booked for 5 nights and extended the stay. The resort is a very good facility, with a pool, sauna, spa. A Tennis court and kayaks are also available for hire.
We had a 2 bedroom first floor water front apartment. All basic necessities were covered. You will need to provide your own tissues, toilet paper, dish washing liquid after the initial supply runs out.
I would agree with other reviewers who commented on the number of boats anchored on the beach.
I would definitely go back.
